The pressure is getting to Nancy Pelosi.
Democrats never imagined their predicament in the election would grow so dire.
And Nancy Pelosi lost her mind in this ugly public meltdown.
Nancy Pelosi never imagined anything like this could happen to her.
But the worst-case scenario played out before her very eyes.
And now Nancy Pelosi wanted to scream after suffering this vicious embarrassment.
Democrats are struggling to deal with the reality that Joe Biden is losing to Donald Trump.
Both Morning Consult/Bloomberg and The Hill/Emerson produced swing-state polls showing Donald Trump winning seven battleground states against Joe Biden.
Joe Biden’s inflation crisis is the number-one issue for voters and every poll showed Donald Trump holding a sizeable lead over Biden on the issue of the economy.
Pelosi tried to spin the impossible on Katy Tur’s MSNBC show, claiming Joe Biden was an economic maestro who oversaw the creation of 9 million new jobs as compared to Trump who Pelosi baselessly claimed ran the economy into the ground.
“I have sympathy and respect for everybody who votes,” Pelosi began. “I’m just glad people vote. I know some of them would never – will always reject those of us who might look different to them in leadership or the rest, and that’s that, but there are those who have real legitimate concerns about immigration, globalization, innovation, and what does that mean for their job and their family’s future, and we have to address those concerns, and Joe Biden is doing that.”
Pelosi said Biden “created 9 million jobs in his term in office. Donald Trump has the worst record of job loss of any president, so we just have to make sure people know.”
But not even Tur – a well-known liberal – could swallow that load of malarkey.
“That was a global pandemic,” Tur responded.
Trump’s job record was marred by the fact that the lockdowns shuttered the economy and closed businesses.
Something snapped in Pelosi’s brain when hearing an MSNBC anchor defend Trump and Pelosi ranted that Tur is a “Trump apologist.”
“He had the worst record of any president. We’ve had other concerns in our country. If you want to be an apologist for Donald Trump, that may be your role, but it ain’t mine,” Pelosi raged.
Tur doesn’t take a back seat to anyone in her liberalism and said so right back to Pelosi.
“I don’t think that anybody can accuse me of that,” Tur shot back.
Biden’s “job gains” were just the result of the reopening that occurred in late 2020 to early 2021.
And today, any job gains on Biden’s watch are the result of flooding the country with cheap labor from foreign countries.
Director of Research for the Center for Immigration Studies, Steven Camarota, wrote an op-ed for the New York Post, which reported that between late 2019 and late 2023, all of the gains in job growth – and Joe Biden was president for the majority of this time – went to immigrants.
“The number of immigrants working over this period is up by 2.9 million, while 183,000 fewer US-born Americans are working,” Camarota wrote.
“Put simply, compared to 2019, all the net job growth has gone to immigrants,” Camarota added.
“To be clear, employment for both groups has rebounded significantly since the depths of the COVID-19 recession in 2020. But the number of US-born workers has not returned to the level it was before the pandemic, while immigrant employment (legal and illegal together) has ballooned,” Camarota concluded.
