Conservative podcaster Megyn Kelly revealed on Thursday that she was one of the many podcasters and commentators who were subpoenaed by actress Blake Lively this summer.
For the unaware, Lively is an actress who also happens to be a top producer and star of the 2024 film “It Ends With Us.”
In December, she sued her costar, Justin Baldoni, and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, accusing them of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. She also alleged that he was operating a smear campaign against her for speaking up.
In July, Lively subsequently began subpoenaing anyone who had said or written anything negative about her, including Megyn Kelly, on the grounds that they were all part of Baldoni’s smear campaign.

It should be noted that Baldoni and Kelly both have the same lawyer, though Kelly maintains she recruited the lawyer “well before his representation of Baldoni.”
Regardless, the conservative commentator did not appreciate the subpoena, as she made clear on Thursday.
“Because Blake Lively was unable to fathom that yours truly had developed a genuine revulsion toward her on my own, she posited that I must have been ensnared in Baldoni’s alleged ongoing ‘smear campaign’ against her,” she began on her podcast.
“In addition, she suggested that I was getting paid by Baldoni or Freedman for my anti-Blake coverage, demanding to see all documents reflecting this agreement or payment structure. This is how narcissistic this woman is. She actually thinks I needed to get paid by Baldoni’s team to say negative things about her,” she added.
If it’s not already clear, Kelly is no fan of Baldoni.
“Newsflash, Blake: I came to those conclusions totally organically,” she continued. “Don’t give your power away, sweetheart. It was you, all you, who made me unable to stand you. No man had anything to do with it.”
She further revealed that her team had fought the subpoena and won.
“She backed down and has now missed the deadline to pursue her harassment of me and my team any further,” Kelly said. “Sorry, sweetheart, you might want to try harder next time.”

Kelly continued by ripping Lively a new one.
“Pro-tip: We’re extremely fair, thorough, factual, and unsparing of any public figure and, frankly, of ourselves when it comes to our own high standards,” she said.” But access to our actual communications? It’s a no. You cannot have them.”
“I am a member of the press and you are a sad, pathetic, untalented, narcissistic bully. I will never back down to the likes of Blake Lively. Never. And her fight to harass me and my team ended in her getting nothing,” she added.
Ouch.
She continued by stressing that she didn’t reach this opinion lightly.
“I came to this case entirely open-minded,” she said. “I had nothing against Blake Lively.”
“It wasn’t until I saw how many allegations she clearly made up and reached the independent conclusion that she was glomming onto the #MeToo movement to try to save her reputation that I finally realized she is a terrible person,” she added.
Kelly proceeded to list example after example after example of Lively’s known bad, rotten behavior, from allegedly mistreating her co-stars to being dismissive toward fans.
She concluded her diatribe with a searing denunciation of the actress.
“We could go on, but you know the truth: This is yet another entitled, nasty, elitist Hollywood snob who thinks she is untouchable to the point where – not unlike Meghan and Harry, who have made a career out of suing members of the press who write disparaging things about them – she believes that anyone who doesn’t worship her must be on the payroll of her enemies,” she said.
“Well, I’m not, Blake. No one has to pay me one dime to say negative things about you. I do that because I believe them and because you really are terrible,” she added.
