The left is already scrambling to find their next champion for 2028, and it looks like they’re lining up behind California Governor Gavin Newsom. According to a new poll, Newsom’s support among Democrat voters has more than doubled in just two months. He’s now leading the pack of liberal hopefuls, drawing support from 25 percent of Democrat primary voters. That’s up from just 12 percent in June.
Let’s be clear. This is the same Gavin Newsom who has turned the once-great state of California into a cautionary tale. Homeless encampments line the streets of San Francisco. Crime is out of control in Los Angeles. Families and job creators are fleeing to places like Texas and Florida, where freedom still matters. But in the twisted world of the radical left, Newsom’s failures are not a problem—they’re a model.
The Democrats are not shy about their goals. They want to take Newsom’s California policies and spread them across all 50 states. That means higher taxes, more regulations, open borders, and government control over every part of your life. It means fewer freedoms, more federal overreach, and a war on traditional values.
What’s driving this surge in support? The poll says Newsom gained ground among young voters, senior citizens, Black voters, and White voters. That’s not because he’s a strong leader—it’s because he’s loud and willing to pick fights with President Trump. Newsom’s strategy is simple: mock the President, push extreme policies, and pretend California is a model of success. But anyone who has seen the boarded-up storefronts and rising cost of living in the Golden State knows better.
Let’s not forget who else is in the Democrat lineup. Pete Buttigieg, who couldn’t fix potholes in South Bend and has been missing in action as Transportation Secretary. Kamala Harris, whose support continues to fall even among her own party. Bernie Sanders, a self-declared socialist. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who wants to shut down America’s energy sector. And other governors and senators who are just waiting for their moment to push the country further left.
Not one of these candidates has a plan to secure our borders, protect our Constitution, or restore American greatness. Instead, they all want to grow the government, silence free speech, and erase the values that built this nation.
While President Trump is working to bring jobs back to America, secure our elections, and return power to the people, the Democrats are already scheming to undo it all. They’ve even started playing games with redistricting. In Texas, Republican lawmakers are passing new maps to strengthen conservative voices in Congress—just as the Constitution allows. But in California, Newsom and his allies are trying to rig the system to cancel out those gains. They want to manipulate the maps and tilt the field in their favor. This isn’t democracy—it’s power at any cost.
It’s no surprise Newsom is trying to become the face of the Democrat party. He’s a polished performer, always ready for the cameras, always spinning failure into fantasy. But Americans are waking up. We see what the left has done to our cities, our schools, and our freedoms. And we’re not going to let them do it to the whole country.
We need leaders who believe in freedom, faith, and the rule of law. Leaders who understand that the government’s job is to protect our God-given rights, not take them away. As we look toward 2028, we must stay vigilant. The left is organizing, polling, and planning. But so are we.
The Constitution was written to restrain the very kind of power-hungry politics Gavin Newsom represents. It’s time to stand up, speak out, and defend the republic. Not just for ourselves—but for the generations yet to come.
