And Melania Trump suffered one personal attack that will make you mad as hell.
Media bias takes many forms.
Slanting the news against Trump didn’t just consist of spreading hoaxes like Russia collusion or so-called “fact checkers” nitpicking every Trump statement.
Bias against Trump also took shape in how magazines like Vogue presented Melania Trump compared to past First Ladies.
Despite ascending to the height of the fashion industry and being a world-renowned model, Melania Trump never appeared on the cover of Vogue, the gold standard for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty magazines, during President Trump’s first term.
By comparison, Vogue put Michelle Obama on the cover three times as the liberal cultural establishment tried to portray Michelle Obama as a picture of style, grace, and buff fitness.
Even Jill Biden appeared on the cover of Vogue.
Donald Trump winning the popular vote signaled a backlash in the public against the left’s capture of pop culture and attempt to turn every institution woke.
Some in the business community realized casting their lot with the anti-Trump resistance was a bad move.
Companies like Cracker Barrel abandoned woke rebranding campaigns.
But the media is still a citadel of Trump hatred.
Vogue executives were considering treating Melania Trump like every other First Lady and putting her on the cover.
But the rank-and-file at Vogue threatened a mutiny, clinging to the belief that putting Melania Trump on the cover would “normalize” Donald Trump.
“I will walk out the mother****** door, and half my staff will follow me,” an editor at Vogue told the New York Post.
“We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right,” the editor added.
One staffer made the laughable claim that they would go bag groceries rather than work for a publication that put Melania Trump on the cover.
What made this threat so absurd was that the leftwing Vogue employee made sure to note that they wouldn’t slum it by working at a bodega, but would bag groceries at Trader Joe’s, the food store frequented by upscale liberals.
“If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it. If [Guiducci] puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it,” they staffer told the post.
Others at Vogue claimed this was all talk and no one would actually quit if the magazine put Melania Trump on the cover.
“It’s all talk,” a Vogue employee said to the Post. “If they put her on the cover, people will protest and gripe about it, but I don’t see anyone quitting such a prestigious job over that.”
Liberals don’t seem to understand that the American people already “normalized” Donald Trump by electing him President twice and handing him a popular vote in 2024.
These acts of media revolt against Trump are self-defeating, as the more media outlets like Vogue line up in opposition to Trump, the more his popularity grows with the public.
