Husband detained after wife’s body found in a canal

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – In a chilling turn of events, a woman was discovered lifeless in a canal, and her husband is now in custody facing domestic violence charges. The unfolding drama began when authorities found the body of Jessica Lloyd floating near her Coral Springs residence on Monday night.

Her husband, Jeffrey Evans, has been arrested for domestic violence, specifically simple battery. This arrest followed closely on the heels of the grim discovery. The incident took place in the vicinity of the 9900 block of Northwest 15th Court. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Lloyd was pronounced dead.
