Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest first lady of all? According to the male hosts of Fox News’ “The Five,” the answer couldn’t be clearer.
The topic came up on Wednesday’s episode of “The Five” as the hosts of the show reacted to a recent report about how a Vanity Fair magazine editor had threatened to quit with half of her staff if current First Lady Melania Trump was featured on the magazine’s cover.
“If [Vanity Fair global editorial director Mark Guiducci] puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it,” the emotionally incontinent editor told the Daily Mail earlier this week.
“I will walk out the motherf–king door, and half my staff will follow me… If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it… It sickens me,” the unhinged leftist editor added.
This rant from the Vanity Fair editor prompted “The Five” host Jesse Watters to ask on Wednesday’s episode of the show whether former First Lady Jill Biden ever appeared on the magazine’s cover:

“Twice, I think,” network host Brian Kilmeade replied.
“Was Michelle Obama on the cover?” Watters continued.
“Three times,” Kilmeade responded.
Watters then asked the obvious question on everybody’s mind: “Do you think those two women are prettier than Melania Trump?”
“No, no,” Kilmeade correctly replied.
Watters’ point in asking the question had been to note that, assuming looks are the main factor that’s considered when deciding whether or not to put someone on Vanity Fair’s cover, Melania is the clear-cut winner.
“Is it not about [being] pretty?” Watters asked in confusion. “Is it about fashion? Because Melania’s also more fashionable.”
“She’s the most attractive first lady ever,” Kilmeade then asserted. “Let’s be honest.”
Was he wrong?
Guest host Harold Ford Jr., meanwhile, complained that he’d like to see Melania on the cover, not because of her looks but because she’s “a very thoughtful and smart person.”
“You guys were so wrong,” he began. “She should not be on the cover. She is an attractive woman. She should not be on the cover of Vanity Fair. I wouldn’t buy it ’cause she’s an attractive person.”
“She clearly is a very thoughtful and smart person,” he continued, citing some of her recent work as first lady, including the letter she wrote to Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this month asking him to make an effort to protect the world’s children.
Our incredible First Lady @MELANIATRUMP shared this powerful, deeply moving letter with President Putin. She speaks from the heart of every American in calling for a world where children, regardless of where they are born, can live in peace. pic.twitter.com/Soqrv1euAm

“She has a persona because people dislike [her husband, President Donald Trump],” Ford continued. “She has a persona because of how attractive she is. But this is a very serious woman who is working on AI, who is working on mental health issues, and is now working on children’s issues.”
“Whether you agree with her husband or not, I’d love to hear that or read about that. You guys were joking, I know, but she’s a serious person who’s doing equally serious things in this second term here,” he added.
He wasn’t wrong. In fact, according to the New York Post, Melania was never even interested in being on the cover of Vanity Fair.
A source close to Melania confirmed to the Post that when Guiducci expressed interest in her appearing on the cover, she “laughed.”
“She doesn’t have time to be sitting in a photo shoot,” the source said dismissively. “Her priorities as first lady are far more important… These people don’t deserve her anyway.”
True.
The Post went on to note that Melania is currently busy with a myriad of projects, “including ‘Fostering the Future’ to support children in foster care, and her ‘Be Best’ initiative from the first term, which aims to combat cyberbullying and opioid abuse.”
“She also successfully championed the ‘Take It Down’ Act, which requires social media platforms to remove non-consensual intimate images,” according to the Post.
