Shiloh Hendrix, the white Minnesota woman who hurled a racial slur at a punk Somali kid who’d stolen something from her, is reportedly poised to face three disorderly conduct charges from local prosecutors.
“[Shiloh] wrongfully and unlawfully engaged in offensive, obscene, abusive, boisterous, or noisy conduct, or in offensive, obscene, or abusive language that would reasonably tend to arouse alarm, anger, or resentment in others,” a tentative legal complaint reviewed by Rochester station KTTC reads.
Written by the Rochester City Attorney’s Office, the complaint, if filed, could mean a maximum 90-day jail sentence and $1,000 fine for Hendrix.
Hendrix went viral in April when a nosy bystander confronted her for using the N-word on a 5-year-old Somali punk who she alleged had stolen a diaper bag meant for her 18-month-old son:

In the video, Hendrix told the bystander that she had a right to call the punk a slur “if he acts like one.” She also threatened to hit the punk because “he took my son’s stuff.”
The video triggered massive backlash from the backwards left and even from some soft, pudgy RINO right-wingers.
The Rochester branch of the blatantly racist NAACP called on city prosecutors to charge Hendrix over her “disturbing” and “racially motivated” words, accusing her of having “traumatized, chased, and hurled vicious slurs” at the punk who stole from her.
“This is a legal matter, and it is also a moral one,” branch president Wale Elegbede said at the time. “Even though the law may not change the heart of a heartless adult who traumatized a vulnerable child, it can and must send a strong message – a message that our children have rights to be protected from heartless adults who terrorize and traumatize them.”
“The law must be used to uphold justice, and that the rights of a [b]lack child with significant support needs is one that also deserves protection and justice. We want Rochester to be a place where every person—including our [b]lack children—can live in safety and thrive,” he added.
Notice how he made no mention of theft victims like Hendrix and her son deserving “protection and justice.”

As to why it took so long to charge Hendrix, a Rochester City spokesperson attributed it to the alleged complexity of the case.
“This matter involved a large amount of evidence and required careful consideration of potential charging options across multiple offices,” the spokesperson told KTTC.
“Additionally, under Minnesota law, prosecutors are required to involve and consider the perspective of the crime victim. Given the sensitive and complicated nature of this case, along with the high level of public attention, completing the necessary reviews and conversations with the victim’s family took longer than usual,” they added.
It’s not clear which “victim” the office was referring to.
Meanwhile, Rochester Mayor Kim Norton released a statement claiming Hendrix’s actions “deeply affected many people, especially our communities of color, and caused real turmoil in our community.”
“We acknowledge the lasting impact this incident has had, not only on those directly involved and across our community, but also in the broader conversations happening at the state and national level,” she said.
“These moments remind us of the complexity and far-reaching impacts of situations like this. The City remains committed to staying engaged and proceeding with transparency and care, continuing efforts that support accountability and progress in Rochester,” she added.
The good news is that, no matter what happens, Hendrix isn’t apt to be burdened too much — aside from the potential jail sentence.
After she went viral, a GoFundMe was launched in her name. She also launched a GiveSendGo fundraiser that raised over $800,000, meaning she won’t have any trouble — none at all — paying Rochester’s silly fines.
