A viral video shows the shocking fate of 21-year-old American John Rudat, who tried to protect women from harassment on a tram in Dresden, Germany, and was brutally stabbed in the face.
Rudat was rushed to the hospital in serious condition, narrowly avoiding blindness. Despite his injuries, he declared he will “wear the scars with pride” and condemned what he calls Europe’s “immigration problem,” warning that Dresden feels far more dangerous than when he once lived there as a student.

Police arrested 21-year-old Syrian migrant “Majid A” shortly after the attack, a man already charged with aggravated assault, robbery, and illegal entry. Yet prosecutors quickly released him, claiming there was “not sufficient evidence” to detain him for the stabbing. A second suspect remains at large.
Surveillance footage is still under review, and police are appealing for witnesses.
Rudat is the second American tourist violently attacked in Europe in recent weeks — a grim reminder of the escalating consequences of Europe’s open-border policies.
