Lil Nas X, a famous rapper and singer, was charged with four felonies on Monday after allegedly charging at police officials and injuring them when they confronted him last week for walking naked down a street in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, reportedly charged at police officers who confronted him for walking naked on Ventura Boulevard just prior to 6 a.m. on Friday. The outlet noted that Lil Nas X was charged for battery with injury and for resisting an executive officer during the incident on Friday.
The Associated Press reported that after his arrest on Friday, Lil Nas X was hospitalized due to a suspected overdose. After being released from the hospital, Lil Nas remained in jail for three days before being released on $75,000 bail, with the condition that the rapper would be required to attend drug treatment.
According to The Associated Press, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed that the famous rapper pleaded not guilty on Monday to the four felony charges against him. While Lil Nas X has pleaded not guilty to the charges, the four felony counts could result in the rapper being sentenced to over 10 years in prison.

A criminal complaint obtained by The Associated Press claims that Lil Nas X “did unlawfully use force and violence and inflict an injury” on three individuals the rapper “reasonably should have known” were peace officers “engaged in the performance of a duty.”
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that one of the police officers sustained a back sprain, one sustained a hand injury, and one sustained a head abrasion. The outlet noted that the police officer with the back sprain reportedly was treated at a hospital before being sent home to recover from the injury.
A video shared on X, formerly Twitter, shows Lil Nas X walking down the streets of Los Angeles in only underwear and cowboy boots.
