When it comes to kids, libertarian Tim Keller pushes for more government.
While “the state makes for a bad parent,” bad parents are often worse.
When child protective services fails to take kids away, he says, “they’re leaving children in dangerous situations.”
Like homes with parents who starve their kids, or beat them.
But Law Professor Josh Gupta-Kagan points out, “the horror stories go in all directions.”
Horror stories like when one family took their kid to the doctor with a fever, and days later, the state took their two young boys, separating them from their parents for weeks.
