The Democratic Party has so far failed to learn anything from the 2024 reelection of President Donald Trump, and it’s getting bad.
So bad, in fact, that now House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is desperately trying to spin his party bleeding voters across a whopping 30 states. The best he could come up with? Blaming Texas.

CNN asked Jeffries to comment on Democrats losing more than two million voters, while Republicans picked up over two million. He did so by blaming a state that, as the NRCC pointed out in their X post, “doesn’t have partisan voter registration and wasn’t part of the NYTimes study.”
“Most of that activity, as I understand it, has occurred in Florida and Texas, and certainly it is the case that, nationally, we’re going to have to invest more in these two red states,” he said. “At the end of the day, it’s also going to be important for us to continue to make clear to the American people what we stand for as Democrats.”
The American people soundly rejected what the Democrats stand for in 2024, and there hasn’t been any tangible move to align their platform with what voters care about.
X users commented on Jeffries’ explanation:
Hakeem is the least impressive leader that I’ve ever seen in my life.
I disagreed with Pelosi on most things, but during her two terms as speaker, she was a savage.

Jeffries lies a lot. Almost everything he says is not true.

Born and raised 6th generation Texan here and in Texas, you don’t register as a Republican or Democrat when you register to vote. Texas has an open primary system, and voter registration is nonpartisan.
This guy is a joke and a failure.

You need to thank @ScottPresler for the huge gains in PA. He’s done more for voter registration than you.

Hakeem Jeffries couldn’t run a hot dog stand. He is a useless POS.
