Chilling newly-released body cam video relives the horror of the murders of four University of Idaho students.
The surviving roommates are seen outside the home with police, giving full details of what happened the night Kaylee Goncalves, Maddie Mogen, Xana Kernoodle, and Ethan Chapin were killed by a lone intruder.
Surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen tells Officer Mitch Nunes she heard a person she believed was Kaylee scream that “somebody” was in the house, then heard someone run down from the third floor to Xana’s room on the second floor, where she then heard what she called a “commotion.”
Mortensen says the sounds of a struggle die down, and she hears an unfamiliar male voice say, “You’re going to be fine. I’m going to help you.”
After hearing the man saying, “I’m going to help you,” Dylan opens the door and sees Bryan Kohberger, describing him to Officer Nunes as “six feet tall, slim build, a black mask, with bushy eyebrows.”
Officers responding to the 911 call from 1122 King Road find the kitchen door ajar. During a walk through the rental house, officers notice blood is smeared on the walls and floors and pooling by their bodies that are on different floors in the house.
