Live Stream Press Conference: The Dhillon Law Group and California Republican Leaders to Announce Supreme Court Challenge to Unconstitutional Redistricting Plan
Sacramento —  The Dhillon Law Group and California Republican leaders will hold a press conference to announce the filing of an emergency petition with the California Supreme Court challenging the Legislature’s rushed and unconstitutional redistricting package.

The petition argues that legislative leaders violated multiple provisions of the California Constitution, including Article XXI and Article IV, by:
- Bypassing the constitutionally required 30-day public review period before acting on newly introduced legislation.
- Stripping voters of their right to independent redistricting, as guaranteed by the voter-approved Citizens Redistricting Commission.
- Engaging in mid-decade redistricting, which the state constitution does not permit outside the post-Census cycle.
Petitioners are asking the Court to remove ACA 8 from the November 4, 2025 ballot and to halt the use of AB 604’s partisan map.
