President Donald Trump and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung are set to hold their first summit on Monday, after South Korea’s snap election in June saw a new leader appointed.
Questions range from the future of U.S.-South Korea relations, nuclear-armed North Korea, and the influence of communist China.
But ahead of the trip, South Korea sent a delegation to China on Sunday with the message of normalizing relations between the two nations.
NTD spoke with two guests to unpack it all: Retired Marine Colonel Grant Newsham, who is a senior fellow at the Center for Security Policy, as well as political analyst Gordon Chang, author of “Plan Red: China’s Project to Destroy America.”
