Iraq war veteran and a champion of border wall construction during Trump’s first presidential term Brian Kolfage has been released from prison without making headlines. A political victim of deep state Democrats, Kolfage is a triple amputee living without one arm and both legs since a missile explosion nearly killed him in Iraq in September 2004.
Kolfage drew the ire of the Democrats, who were still mad at Trump’s 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton, when he launched the fundraising campaign “We Build the Wall” in December 2018. Congressional Republicans then were actively colluding with Democrats to deny President Trump funding for building the border wall. Kolfage’s fundraiser campaign also included other prominent MAGA conservatives like Steve Bannon.
But in August 2020, during the height of the manufactured pandemic of COVID-19, Kolfage was targeted by the deep state working against conservatives under the nose of Trump. He was arrested and indicted in the infamously corrupt Southern District of New York on federal charges of defrauding the donors to his wall building fundraiser. Steve Bannon and two other conservative supporters of the wall construction campaign – Andrew Badolato, and Timothy Shea – were also indicted on the same charges along with Kolfage.
While Bannon was pardoned by Trump before he left the White House in January 2021, Kolfage and the other co-defendants were left at the mercy of the Biden administration. What happened next was no surprise. The Biden administration, run by deep state actors, intimidated Kolfage into pleading guilty to charges of fraud and filing false tax returns. In April 2023, Obama-appointed judge Analisa Torres sentenced Kolfage to over 4 years (51 months) in prison. Kolfage was locked up in a federal prison in Rochester, Minnesota. He was expected to be released a little earlier than four years, i.e., in May 2026.
But last weekend, conservative journalist and photographer Jeff Rainforth shared the good news of the release of Brian Kolfage from prison. On August 17, Rainforth announced on his Substack that Kolfage has been freed from prison and that he returned to his home in Florida by plane on August 12. He wrote:
Having headed up the movement to get Brian released, I knew Brian would be freed on this date for about a month, but he told me we couldn’t say anything because leftists would try to screw up his release. It was a tough secret to keep I’ll tell you that.
The details of the terms and conditions under which Kolfage was released were not shared by Rainforth in his announcement though it was revealed that the Purple Heart recipient is now on home confinement and still needs a pardon from President Trump. Rainforth shared Kolfage’s story of political victimization by the deep state Democrats, parts of which are in Kolfage’s own words from the prison. Rainforth repeatedly called for President Trump to pardon Kolfage:
President Trump, please pardon war hero Brian Kolfage! He has given enough for his country and deserves far better than to suffer in prison because Democrats deemed him an enemy!
He also posted on X about Kolfage’s release.
The mainstream media and even popular conservative podcasters have not reported on Kolfage’s release from the prison as of this writing. However, conservatives on social media who got the news from Rainforth’s postings celebrated it and called for justice against the Iraq war veteran’s victimization. MAGA conservative and former Breitbart Reporter Jennifer Lawrence expressed outrage at the fact that Kolfage is required to wear an ankle monitor on his only remaining limb, the wrist of his arm.
Kathy Holbrook, another MAGA patriot, tagged President Trump, Matt Gaetz, and Judge Jeanine Pirro in her X post to ask for their help in providing Kolfage relief from the judicial tyranny targeting conservatives like him.
