Beggars

They will record several innovations offered by the Furthest Right and Futurist Traditionalism that no one else saw coming. One of which is our recognition that bureaucracy is based on jobs and the need to manage people by means-over-ends methods, which naturally leads to democracy, pacifism, and socialism.

It may go down in the books that we properly identified the role of the modern person: we are beggars. Our bureaucratic overlords make up democracy as an ideal, then prohibit anything which is contrary to that, leaving us to forage among the scraps of what is left for something of a life philosophy.

Like all scam artists and con men, they begin their parasitism by saying “nothing you see is real,” and then give us a symbolic reality instead. Symbolic realities assume that the title on the folder describes the contents, when really the symbol describes very little, forcing us to fill in the rest with our expectations.

It is like the con man who tells his mark that the product has a “lifetime guarantee.” He does not define lifetime, so the mark assumes that this means his own lifespan or the natural lifespan of similar products, when in fact it means three years and the product dies the next day.

The mark projects his own understanding of “lifetime” into the symbol, which makes no sense anyway because no manufacturer can guarantee a product for a lifetime. You have to read the fine print, but they will try to avoid having you do that, because they you see what a mean-spirited scam they are.

Ideologically, it means that democracy prohibits anything incompatible with democracy, so we are left with… variants of democracy to choose from. It prohibits methods that might disturb the individualism of others which leaves only actions that do not actually change the direction of our future. It ties our hands.

As beggars we are left with a few options remaining in order to claim we are in fact in control of our future instead of helpless serfs to a bureaucracy. We can be conservatives and follow Jesus to capitalism, or be progressives and follow diversity to Communism. And of course we can slice, dice, and recombine those.

Naturally none of these are actually satisfying. Mainstream conservatism does not achieve a conservative society, only the appearance of conservatism so you can tell your friends that you are taking a bold stand. And progress is an illusion, so progressivism is basically just fundraising for Communism.

The problem here is that a method (democracy: a type of lottery) becomes a goal-in-itself and then, all other methods become taboo. Political Correctness did the same thing; they do not insist that you agree with them, but if you speak of any alternative, they call you a “racist” or “sexist” or “fatphobic” or something.

We the beggars are left to pick up the scraps and try to fashion a life philosophy out of them, but there is nothing there but ideological compliance, which is why people are so voracious and needy these days.
