Michael Collins, the great Irish revolutionary who wrested semi-independence for Ireland from the British but was assassinated on Aug.22 in 1922, once said, “We have to learn that freedom imposes responsibilities.”
That was an attitude which America’s Founding Fathers had, but with which the woke left strenuously disagrees. And in fact all of Ireland and America could and should take Collins’s advice and develop again a culture of personal responsibility.
