Stephen Miller Owns Old White Hippies Protesting in D.C.

Old white hippies crawled out of retirement this week to scream at the sky in D.C., probably before catching their buses back to the suburbs. Stephen Miller was having none of it.

Well, hello, my little love bunnies. I’ve been absent from my writing for a few days. Real life has a way of barging in sometimes. I’ve missed you. But what a story to come back to. Nothing says “America in 2025” quite like a pack of aging flower children with gray ponytails pretending they’re still raging against the machine. Only this time, the machine is law and order, and Stephen Miller just owned every last one of them.

Miller’s words cut through the noise.

The Trump team is stacked with serious people doing serious work. Susie Wiles is behind the curtain, keeping the operation sharp. Marco Rubio is out there tackling the heavy business of world foreign policy, trade, and hard negotiations that actually move the needle.

But every strong team needs more than strategists. They need someone willing to go on offense. That’s where Stephen Miller shines.

These protesters set up outside Union Station, chanting about “Free D.C.” as if they were standing up for some grand cause. The truth? Most of them don’t even live in the city. They roll in, shout a few slogans, and pat themselves on the back like it’s 1969 again. Miller called their bluff. He labeled them “elderly white hippies” and reminded everyone that actual D.C. residents, many of them black families, are the ones who have lived through decades of crime and chaos.

And believe me, I know that neighborhood. When I was in the Navy, I was stationed in D.C. from 1985 to 1990, and Union Station was the one place we were told to watch ourselves. That was under Mayor Marion Barry—yes, that Marion Barry.

Even back then, the place carried a reputation. If Union Station was sketchy during the Barry years, imagine what residents have endured since. So when Miller points out that these old white hippies are clueless about the real city, I know exactly what he means. People who live there don’t need nostalgia protests. They need safe streets.

And of course, it was the old hippies out there. Who else has the time? Everyone else has a job, or the younger crowd is too stoned on weed to even find Union Station. So the Left pays the retirees to climb on a bus, wave a sign, and pretend they’re still fighting the system. It’s cosplay for people who peaked before MTV stopped playing music videos.

Trump’s federal takeover of Washington has led to 550 arrests since the start of the crackdown on Aug. 11. A large percentage of the arrests have involved illegal immigrants, including an MS-13 gang member who had prior convictions for driving while intoxicated (DWI) and drug possession, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on Tuesday.

The MPD claims that violent crime decreased 26% since 2024, though it excludes felony and aggravated assault from its database. The FBI’s data, which includes aggravated and felony assault, shows that violent crime has only decreased 10% since 2024.

The department had faced accusations of manipulating its crime statistics. In May, the MPD suspended a police commander and investigated whether he downplayed violent crime statistics in the nation’s capital.

Washington had the fourth-highest murder rate in the U.S. in 2024 and witnessed more high-profile murders in 2025, including the shooting of two Israeli staffers outside of the Capital Jewish Museum in May. – The Daily Caller

Crime in D.C. has dropped since the Trump administration stepped in. Federalizing the police and deploying the National Guard wasn’t a stunt. It was survival. The crazy communist hippies aren’t the ones dodging carjackings or worrying about their kids getting home from school. Their chants are performance art. Miller’s words are reality.

And here’s what makes Miller so effective. He doesn’t waste time trying to reason with them. He dismisses them, flat out. That’s how you win. You don’t feed their drama, you strip it bare. These aren’t neighborhood parents demanding safer schools. They’re retirees chasing one last headline before the bus heads home. Meanwhile, D.C. residents finally get a shot at safer neighborhoods, thanks to leaders willing to take action.

Think about how absurd it is: people chanting to protect criminals while families in D.C. just want a safe neighborhood and community to live in.

Stephen Miller exposed them for what they are: out of touch and ridiculous.

Personally, I’d like to know who’s paying them. I bet the guilty party starts with the letter D.
