In a bold and much-needed move, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has shut down a dangerous government office that was working to silence the voices of everyday Americans. On Wednesday night, she announced the end of the Foreign Malign Influence Center, a group that was created under Joe Biden’s administration to monitor and label speech online. But instead of protecting our country, this office was used to attack American citizens who dared to speak out against the left’s agenda.
Gabbard explained the truth clearly when she appeared on Jesse Watters’ program. She said there is proof that the Foreign Malign Influence Center was working with social media companies to censor people who didn’t agree with Biden’s policies. If you were conservative, if you supported President Trump, or if you questioned the government’s narrative, this office tried to shut you down. They called it “misinformation” or “disinformation,” but what it really was—plain and simple—was censorship.
This is not how America is supposed to work.
The United States was built on the idea that every person has the right to speak freely, even if their opinions are unpopular. The First Amendment to our Constitution protects that right. But under the Biden regime, that freedom was under attack. Instead of focusing on protecting America from real threats, the Foreign Malign Influence Center chose to target American citizens who were simply using their voice.
Gabbard said it plainly: this group was being used to politicize intelligence and silence opposition. That’s not national security. That’s tyranny.
We must be honest about what really happened during those years. The government, in partnership with tech companies, built a system to control what people could say online. This “Censorship Industrial Complex” didn’t just appear overnight. It started under Barack Obama, grew stronger under Biden, and was used to protect the regime’s power by silencing anyone who stood in the way.
One of the main targets of this censorship machine was The Gateway Pundit, a conservative news outlet that has bravely told the truth when others were too afraid. They were labeled as “dangerous” simply for reporting facts and asking questions. They are now one of the plaintiffs in a major Supreme Court case, Murthy vs. Missouri, which challenges the government’s role in censoring Americans. That decision is expected to come down later this year, and many are hopeful that the Court will stand with the Constitution and strike down these abuses of power.
The elimination of the Foreign Malign Influence Center is a great step forward, but it is only the beginning. President Trump and his administration must continue rooting out every part of this censorship web. The American people deserve to know the full truth about how their voices were suppressed and who was responsible. Those involved must be held accountable.
We must also remember that free speech is not just a right—it is a duty. We must use our voices to speak truth, to defend our nation, and to protect the values that made America great in the first place. We cannot be silent when our freedoms are under threat. We must teach our children to value truth over comfort, courage over fear, and freedom over control.
This is a turning point. Under President Trump’s leadership and with patriots like Tulsi Gabbard standing up for what is right, we are beginning to repair the damage done by those who tried to tear down our freedoms. Let us stay strong, stay informed, and never forget that in America, the people are the true source of power—not the government, and certainly not the tech giants.
This is the land of the free and the home of the brave. And thanks to leaders who are willing to fight for truth, it will stay that way.
