(NewsNation) — Convicted quadruple murderer Bryan Kohberger’s handwriting has been revealed in complaint requests as he seeks to transfer out of the solitary confinement section of the Idaho prison where he is currently being held.
Forensic handwriting analyst Bart Baggett joined NewsNation’s “Banfield” on Wednesday evening to discuss what Kohberger’s handwriting reveals.
Baggett argues Kohberger’s handwriting contains something dark known as a “felon’s claw.”
“A felon’s claw is a stroke made from just about any letter that goes below the baseline and resembles a claw,” Mark Dehe, a certified handwriting analyst, told Handwriting University.
Baggett adds the “felon’s claw” reveals “hate” and “unresolved resentment.”
Baggett also noted that Kohberger’s handwriting reveals he is a “weird, shy, anxious guy with low self-esteem” as well as a “stereotypical incel.”
“He reminds me of what they call an ‘incel’ … just some guy in his basement, mad at the world, mad at women,” Baggett continued. “That’s his personality. He just never grew up.”
Baggett compared Kohberger’s July 1 signature on his guilty plea with recent signatures from his prison complaints and claims they show “he’s just devolving.”
