Your children’s education money just bought someone a diamond ring, luxury vacations, and lingerie. Gary Franchi here from the Next News Network’s RAW FEED with an education scandal so massive that even hardened investigators can’t believe it. Arizona’s Superintendent Tom Horn directed staff to automatically approve ALL education voucher requests under $2,000 with zero oversight. The result? A $124 million free-for-all.
The 12 News I-Team obtained receipts showing parents used tax dollars for over 200 iPhones, 50 TVs, luxury clothing, corsets, airline tickets, Omaha steaks, and dog food. One person named "Jamie the Tutor" got nearly $2,000. Another bought a purse. $3 million went to Costco, Amazon, and Best Buy with no description. When confronted, Horn claimed they’d "eventually catch" fraud he admits is $1.24 million.
But money is just the beginning. In Wisconsin, Rivercrest Elementary became a crime scene when TWO teachers were arrested for sexual misconduct with fifth-graders. Madison Bergman faces 10 felonies for "making out and touching" an 11-year-old. Her colleague Abigail Faust knew and said nothing. Worse, Faust pushed her own victim against a wall and kissed him. The boy told police he felt "uncomfortable and scared" and "never wants to see her again."
Meanwhile, Florida Governor DeSantis dropped the hammer on textbook publishers McGraw-Hill and Savvis Learning for overcharging districts by millions. Attorney General Uthmeier’s lawsuit reveals 5,900 instances of overcharges. Osceola County alone was scammed $279,000. One textbook sold cheap to Miami-Dade was marked up for nine other districts, stealing $250,000. These publishers face $60.5 million in fines.
The corruption runs deeper – it’s ideological warfare. At a Socialist conference, Wisconsin teacher Tina admitted: "Everyone who raised your hand and said you got radicalized in college, imagine if you got radicalized four years earlier."
