White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt won’t allow the liberal media to get away with smearing President Trump.
Leavitt is always ready to go on offense.
And Karoline Leavitt shredded the fake news media for this sick attack on Trump.
Even though the Russia collusion hoax was long ago debunked, the anti-Trump media can’t let go of the lie that President Trump is an agent of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This smear stayed alive following President Trump’s historic summit with Putin, which was followed by a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders.
President Trump moved the ball forward towards a peace deal to end the war in Ukraine.
But members of the press are rooting against President Trump because of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
At one point during the meeting with Zelensky and the European leaders, Trump felt enough progress was made to call Putin and take his temperature on the emerging deal.
Trump made the call in private.
New York Times reporter Shawn McReesh seized on that detail to try and imply that Trump wanted to speak to Putin away from the other world leaders for sinister reasons.
“If the point is to get everybody on the same page, why wouldn’t Trump just take the call from Putin while the other leaders were in the room? He said it would be disrespectful to do that, but why is that disrespectful?” McReesh asked.
Leavitt wasn’t about to acknowledge the premise of the question as legitimate and slammed McReesh for a what she deemed a typical New York Times hatchet job on President Trump.
“With all due respect, only a reporter from The New York Times would ask a question like that, Sean,” Leavitt began.
Leavitt told McReesh that the European leaders that attended the summit all praised President Trump’s summit with Putin.
“The president met with all of these European leaders at the White House 48 hours after siting down with President Putin on American soil. In fact, there was so much progress in the readout that was given to these European leaders immediately following his meeting with President Putin, that every single one of them flew on a plane 48 hours later and flew to the United States of America,” Leavitt continued.
Leavitt added that President Trump gave the European leaders a readout of his call with Putin, and all were grateful that Trump did so.
“These leaders, who this war is in their backyard, are very grateful that this president took that call and that he was there to provide them with a readout of Russia’s thinking on this. [This is] something that was not done during the previous administration at all,” Leavitt stated.
Leavitt also repeated the on-the-record praise French President Macron and North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secretary General Mark Rutt offered up, calling the meeting a “very good conversation” and a “very successful day.”
The liberal media wants to torpedo any peace deal to keep the war in Ukraine going.
The press also wants to see Donald Trump fail.
And those two instincts appear to be causing a new iteration of the Russia collusion hoax to take shape.
