While some news outlets focus on a lackluster jobs report, Marlin Steel CEO Drew Greenblatt sees a much different picture. Instead, he describes it as a “once-in-a-generation” revival of American manufacturing. “This is a re-industrialization of America. This is a fabulous, optimistic time,” Greenblatt told Fox & Friends Weekend.
Media missing the story

Greenblatt believes mainstream media is overlooking the bigger picture. According to him, American factory jobs are rebounding — and they’re quality positions that have been missing for too long. “It’s such an optimistic, good time for a factory worker, and these are good jobs. … We need more of these jobs in our country,” he said, crediting President Donald Trump’s tariff policies for reversing decades of offshoring and foreign dumping.
Global shift

He predicts that foreign manufacturers, especially in Germany, Japan and the U.K., will relocate their operations to the U.S. due to better economic incentives and the new tariffs on goods imported to America. “We’re having a new opportunity for factories in Germany, factory owners in Japan and England, they’re saying, ‘You know what? We’ve got to rethink this. We have high taxes where we are. We have very expensive energy where we are. And now, when we ship to our biggest client in the world, America, there’s this new 15% tariff, so this is crazy.”
Job market

Greenblatt explained that bringing those jobs back to U.S. soil creates new opportunities for everyone. “We’re not going to build in Europe anymore. We’re not going to build it in Japan anymore,” he said. “We’re going to put that factory in America. And when they do that, they’re going to hire local American workers.”
Next steps

Greenblatt isn’t just talking, he’s investing. Marlin Steel is expanding operations in Indiana, Michigan and Maryland, while also hiring new talent and purchasing new equipment to keep pace with the growing demand. He calls it “leaning into” a future filled with promise for American industry — and he believes we’re just getting started.
