Now — let’s talk Washington, D.C., and all the media lies surrounding President Donald Trump’s deployment of federal control over the D.C. police.

The press would have you believe this was some kind of power grab, a dictatorship stunt. But here’s the reality: Trump stepped in because crime D.C. has spun out of control — and local leaders were too busy cooking the books to protect their own citizens.

The Numbers Game Lie

If you’ve been reading the headlines lately, you’d think Washington, D.C. has suddenly turned into Mayberry. Violent crime down 35%! Carjackings slashed in half! Homicides plummeting! Sounds like paradise… if you believe the numbers.

But here’s the problem: nobody who actually lives or works in D.C. believes it. Not the commuters. Not the victims. Not even the cops themselves. In fact, the police union flat-out calls these numbers ‘preposterous.’ Their word, not mine.

Because there’s mounting evidence the statistics are being cooked, massaged, watered down, and downgraded. Felonies reclassified as misdemeanors. Violent assaults swept under the rug. One commander was even suspended for manipulating the books.

And how did the media respond? Barely a whisper. They dutifully parrot the press releases as if these concocted numbers are gospel. But let’s be honest — these stats are so cooked they’d make a Mafia boss blush. At least the mob is smart enough not to issue press releases bragging about their crooked books.

So what does it actually mean?

It means shootings get marked down as ‘disturbances.’ Carjackings end up listed as ‘theft.’ Felony assaults suddenly show up as ‘harassment.’ That’s how you shave 35 percent off your crime rate in a single year. Not by cleaning up the streets, but by cooking the books. And if our nation’s capital can’t even give us honest numbers about basic safety, you got to ask yourself, what else are they lying about?

Whistleblowers and Victims

And this isn’t just a union gripe. We’ve got whistleblowers inside the D.C. police department saying the same thing — the numbers are being manipulated.

Sergeant Charlotte Djossou (joe-soo) filed a lawsuit against the MPD, saying it was practically policy for commanders to downgrade crimes. Not a competition to fight crime — but a competition to hide crime.

That case was quietly settled out of court, which tells you the city didn’t want it dragged into open court.

And it’s not just insiders.

Victims themselves have found out their attacks never even made it into the books.

Take journalist Anna Giaritelli (Jah-ree-tell-lee). Assaulted in broad daylight near Union Station. Arrest made. Conviction won. But when she checked the crime map later? Her assault never showed up. Officially, it never happened.

Or ABC anchor Kyra Phillips. She was jumped downtown by a half-dressed homeless man. She later said, ‘We’re all experiencing it firsthand.’ That doesn’t sound like somebody comforted by official statistics. That sounds like somebody living in a city out of control.

This is the insanity. The government says, ‘Relax, crime is down, the charts prove it.’ Meanwhile, the people riding the Metro, walking home at night, or getting jumped in broad daylight know better.

They don’t need a spreadsheet to tell them the truth — they’re living it. They’re bleeding from it. And when they check the data, oftentimes, their nightmare isn’t even listed.

The Media Blindness

Now here’s where it gets even more corrupt. Where’s the media? Where are the watchdogs? Where are the so-called investigative reporters? They’ve gone silent. Instead, they pump out story after story: ‘Crime at a 30-year low! Washington is safer than ever!’

The Washington Post. NPR. Local outlets. All parroting the same talking points like stenographers. But they know better. They know a commander was suspended. They know whistleblowers are coming forward. They know victims say their assaults aren’t being counted.

And yet? Crickets.

Why? Because if the narrative is ‘crime is down,’ then progressive policies suddenly look like they’re working — and Trump looks like a fascist dictator for stepping in.

The revolving door of justice, the soft-on-crime prosecutors, the chaos in the streets — all of it looks fine on paper That’s the story they want you to believe. But it’s not reporting — it’s propaganda.

Think about it: a journalist is assaulted in broad daylight and she’s the one who has to blow the whistle that her crime was erased. Another anchor is jumped on the street and has to say publicly, ‘We’re all experiencing it firsthand.’

And yet the media acts like those are side notes while the big banner headline is: ‘Crime Down 35%.’

That’s not journalism. That’s gaslighting. That’s telling an entire city they’re imagining things while they clutch their purse tighter, avoid the Metro, and pray they make it home alive.

And here’s the ugly truth: the media would rather protect that narrative, while sneaking in a little Trump-bashing for good measure, than protect the people — or even themselves.

The Bigger Political Picture

And here’s the bigger story.

This isn’t just D.C. This is the progressive playbook nationwide. Pretend it’s not happening. Downgrade the charges. Cook the books. Issue glowing press releases. Then let the media do the dirty work of making it all sound true. Meanwhile, Americans are left to fend for themselves.

We’ve seen it in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and other big cities.

Progressive prosecutors cut sweetheart deals, repeat offenders walk free, and when chaos erupts we’re told, ‘Don’t worry, crime is down.’

Really? Tell that to the families burying their loved ones. Tell that to the commuter who won’t ride the subway anymore. Tell that to the business owner robbed three times this year.

And here’s what the Left doesn’t get: people don’t want to feel safe like it’s a trick of psychology. They want to be safe.

They want their kids to walk to school without fear. They want their wives and daughters to ride public transit without harassment. They want to stroll their neighborhood without carrying keys like a weapon.

That’s not a statistic. That’s basic human dignity.

So don’t let anyone tell you Washington, D.C. is suddenly safe because the spreadsheet says so.

The spreadsheets lie. The politicians lie. The media lies. What doesn’t lie is the blood on the sidewalk, the boarded-up businesses, the victims erased from the map. That’s the truth. And until America demands better, we’re going to keep getting more of the same.
