Ex-NBC host says Trump’s return is Biden’s legacy

Chuck Todd, former host of NBC’s Meet the Press, just argued that former President Joe Biden’s legacy is nothing more than President Donald Trump’s political comeback. 

Todd, according to Breitbart News, said as much in an interview that was released over the weekend.

Biden’s legacy

Todd gave his take on Biden’s presidency during the interview.

He began:

I think that the country was convinced, yeah, this is not the direction, this is not the type of leadership that is good for the long-term image of the United States—which is why Biden won. But Biden’s presidency didn’t turn the page. As I’ve said to you before, he wasn’t a good enough leader, because a better leader helps the country turn the page. We rarely go backwards as a country. So how bad of a presidency do you have to have to encourage the country to go backwards?

What else would you expect from the likes of Todd, but at least he isn’t simply praising Biden.

Todd continued:

And the perception of the Biden presidency is that it’s just a weak and ineffective presidency. It’s possible some of the things he signed into law will have long-term success, but the fact of the matter is his legacy is: Donald Trump came back, and that’s on Joe Biden.

There is some truth in there somewhere, just not much.

Trump’s doing his part

Trump, since retaking the White House, has been doing his part to essentially erase Biden’s presidency — a task that is easier said than done.

We have seen this, perhaps most notably, with regard to the U.S.-Mexico border and the economy.

Just the News recently reported that “Trump has overturned Biden’s climate agenda at breakneck speed.”

Per the outlet:

President Donald Trump had campaigned on promises to undo many of the Biden administration’s climate policies. He called climate change a “hoax,” vowed to stop offshore wind projects, and promised to overturn former President Biden’s electric vehicle mandates. Immediately after being sworn into office, Trump went about making good on these campaign promises and more.

There is little doubt that Trump is trying to make it seem as though Biden was never president, undoing as much as he possibly can, and that’s good news for America.
