
Noted attorney Alan Dershowitz announced Monday on social media that his son Elon Dershowitz passed away at the age of 64 on Sunday.
Elon Dershowitz, a film producer who helped produce “Reversal of Fortune,” starring Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons, suffered a stroke according to family members, Newsmax reported. In addition to films, Elon Dershowitz also produced Alan Dershowitz’s podcast, “The Dershow,” and also produced sports documentaries for ESPN.
Alan Dershowitz, an emeritus law professor at Harvard University who contributes op-eds to the Daily Caller News Foundation, posted a link to the Newsmax article on X Monday announcing his son’s passing.
Elon Dershowitz began performing at a young age, doing magic shows in front of varied audiences ranging from former Democratic Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts to the Boston Celtics, according to Newsmax.
Elon Dershowitz was preceded in death by his mother, Sue, and his aunt, Marilyn, while he is survived by his father, Alan Dershowitz, his stepmother, a brother and sister, two cousins and an uncle, Newsmax reported.
Elon Dershowitz donated his organs and a funeral will be held Tuesday in New York City, according to Newsmax.
Alan Dershowitz has represented several high profile clients during his decades-long legal career, including O.J. Simpson, Jeffrey Epstein and President Donald Trump during his first impeachment trial in January 2020. In addition to his legal career, Dershowitz is a prolific author, having written over 50 books during his career.
