This tech probably existed with spy agencies long ago but is only just becoming public now. It shows how much surveillance we never knew about…
Nova Scotia approves glyphosate spraying on 3,577 acres of drought-stricken, fire-prone forest…
Nova Scotia is spraying glyphosate, a herbicide, active ingredient in many weed killers, including Roundup, on forests, killing plants & many animals/insects/bees, poisoning the land.
Same in Ontario:
And it’s been used for decades by the logging industry across North America…
Is it really all about the fires?…
Hurricane Erin is now a rare Category 5. Next week, the storm is forecast to at least double or triple in size…
Not currently predicted to make landfall at least.
The storm is passing just north of the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico this weekend while making a gradual turn toward the north. It’s unlikely it will make a direct landfall on any of the northeastern Caribbean islands, though tropical alerts are in place for some of these areas cautioning potential threats.
Erin is forecast to track north over the western Atlantic next week, away from the United States and Bermuda, but that could change if the storm turns more or less sharply than currently forecast.
These guys punched their ways to the eye of the hurricane:
Just like in “The Day After Tomorrow”… only all the fuel didnt freeze in the lines…
Keep in mind, typically if hurricanes get too big they lose their eye, which then weakens them…
Did you know? In the 13th century, two massive Mongol invasions of Japan were destroyed by a pair of massive typhoons, saving Japan from foreign conquest. The Japanese believed the gods had intervened, naming the storms kamikaze, which literally means “divine wind.”
A touch of bad weather changed the course of history. I wonder how many times that has happened. Guessing a lot…
Using bacteria to sneak viruses into tumors…
Scientists show how their new system hides an oncolytic virus inside a tumor-seeking bacterium, smuggles it past the immune system, and unleashes it inside cancerous tumors, while preventing the virus from spreading – validated in mouse models.
This is quite remarkable. Would be amazing if one day this made it past human clinical trials.
Otherwise we’re just making super mice…
By the way, a newly discovered natural compound from a fungus that’s only found on trees in Taiwan effectively blocks inflammation and pauses the proliferation of cancer cells. In lab tests, the compound suppressed inflammation and stopped the proliferation of lung cancer cells. Nature is lit… Corporations less…
Something to work about…
Sometimes, not knowing something is impossible, makes it possible…
World’s first ‘behavior transplant’ between species achieved…
Scientists have transferred a courtship behavior from one species to another, triggering the recipient to perform this completely foreign act as if it was its own. While genes have been swapped between species to influence traits, a totally unknown behavior has never been genetically swapped into a different animal before.
Meanwhile, U.S. researchers have developed a brain-computer interface (BCI) capable of decoding a person’s inner speech with up to 74% accuracy from a vocabulary as large as 125,000 words…
I’m glad this helps people, but I can’t help seeing the sci-fi dystopian side of tech like this. What if some people are forced to have their inner thoughts decoded against their will? It sounds like just the thing some authoritarian thought police would use to root out their enemies.
Does that sound far-fetched?

People in Australia see the moon upside down…
I wonder how the flat earthers explain this…
NASA revives the 47-years-old Voyager 1 spacecraft by successfully reactivating its frozen thrusters from 15 billion miles away…
And yet my wifi doesn’t reach ground floor…
Meanwhile, NASA’s acting chief calls for the end of Earth science at the space agency… I call for an end to Sean Duffy being involved with NASA. Thank you for your attention to this matter…
Israeli government official arrested in Nevada in internet crimes against children sting…
That employee then returned to his hotel and flew back to Israel two days later.
And not ‘escorted to the airport for immediate expulsion’ either. Maybe he still had tickets for the next night’s Cirque du Soleil show and it seemed like a shame to waste them (you know how hard it is to get good seats)…
So they just released him to go back home? Cool, cool…
Past jobs of notorious serial killers…
Some may be inaccurate (i.e. Gacy was a building contractor, the clown thing was a side gig)… Anyhow interesting…
Here’s another little known fact: Dennis Rader stopped killing at exactly the same time he landed a job as a neighbourhood security officer. he was apparently overbearing, unjust, supercilious and draconian. he once had a lady’s dog put down for being off its leash on her own front lawn. it was theorised that he didn’t need to kill any more because he was basically exorcising his sadistic power-hunger through an alternative, equally satisfying avenue.
Three million gallons a day: Antigua’s new desalination system delivers water stability…
Now, where do they put the salt?
The biggest Conspiracy of all is the one that is killing you and your children slowly …
