Another eight people were wounded as shots were fired in Brooklyn, police have said
At least three people have been killed and several others wounded in a mass shooting at a restaurant in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City, police have said.
Another eight people were wounded as shots were fired inside the Taste of the City Lounge at 903 Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood early on Sunday, officials said.
The three fatalities were said to be men of 27, 35, and of an unknown age.
The wounded have been rushed to the hospital, with no information on their condition so far.
The suspects in the shooting have not yet been identified, according to police.
A video from Brooklyn shows investigators working inside the restaurant, with pools of blood and broken glass on the floor.

Police said at least 36 shell casings had been found at the scene.
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch called the incident “a terrible thing” and “an anomaly,” considering that “we have the lowest number of shooting incidents and shooting victims seven months into the year we have seen on record in the city of New York.”
The NYPD said earlier in August that it had recorded 412 shooting incidents and 489 shooting victims so far in 2025 – less than the previous record low of 426 shootings in 2017.
