Joy Reid is angry. Again. The ousted MSNBC host turned Substack ranter is still desperate and taking swings at Donald Trump. In her latest rant, the Joy Reid Trump American sin narrative takes center stage. She claims he represents every flaw in the nation. But really, has she ever stopped? Her newest claim is that Trump is the physical embodiment of all of America’s sins.
In her latest video, Reid declared that Trump is sloppy, fake, immoral, greedy, and a failure who only succeeded because of white America. But of course. How many ways can she dress up that same old hate for successful white men?
She went after his business record, his family, even his hair. She even claimed Melania hasn’t touched him since Barron was born. Uh oh.
Joy Reid: “People try to say God put him in the White House. I don’t believe God is that cruel… Donald Trump is the physical embodiment of all of America’s sins.”

That’s not anything like analysis. And it’s certainly not journalism. It’s Joy still being bitter and jealous. Two emotions that seem to be a steadfast personality trait for Joyless. Bless her heart. Tell me again how Trump Derangement Syndrome isn’t real?
The Joy Reid Trump American Sin Obsession
Reid then went on to list some of the “sins” that she said justified her position: “He’s sloppy. He’s unkempt. Everything about him is false. His hair is a pretense of non-baldness. He’s old, but his followers try to pretend that he looks like Superman.”
“He’s a terrible businessman and a failure who gets to fake success because he’s white, so banks keep lending him money even when he’s failing,” Reid continued, attempting to make it about race as well. “His father scoops money out of his siblings’ inheritance to give him when he fails. He’s a f***-up but he’s able to be a success because white America keeps saying, ‘No, no, no, that guy is what success looks like.’ He’s only a success on that TV show because when he was at his brokest, he gets hired to be on ‘The Apprentice.’”
She went on to claim that the last time First Lady Melania Trump had allowed her husband to touch her was when their son Barron was born, adding, “He doesn’t believe in marriage. He doesn’t have morality. He got three baby mamas, five children. Everything about him is a lie. He’s not a Christian, but Christians love him. But he embodies the greed, the shamelessness, the lasciviousness of capitalism.” – The Daily Wire
Puddin’, if the best you can come up with is cracking on Trump’s hair, maybe sit this one out.
And then she’s got the nerve to call him old? That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in weeks. Compared to Biden wandering around like he’s looking for the applesauce aisle, Trump looks like he could run laps.
And of course, Joy couldn’t resist pulling the race card again because in her world, white is always bad and America is always guilty. It’s lazy, it’s tired, and it’s the only note she knows how to play.
As for the Melania potshot, Joy might want to keep a lawyer on retainer. Melania doesn’t play games, and a nasty little remark like that could earn her a legal letter in the inbox real quick.
But the most ridiculous swipe of all? Joy Reid deciding she gets to declare who is and isn’t a Christian. Where does she get off? The arrogance is off the charts, and it tells you everything you need to know about her style of commentary.
Joy calls Trump dishonest, but I remember when Joy Reid tried to pin her anti-gay blog posts on imaginary hackers.
The Real Sins of America
Trump isn’t the embodiment of America’s sins. If Reid wants to talk about sin, let’s start with the mess her own party defends. Cities like New York are flirting with outright communism, where private property means less by the day and government control means more. Criminals are coddled while victims are ignored. The cult of identity politics rules everything from city hall to the classroom.
Look at San Francisco, where open-air drug markets flourish and entire neighborhoods reek of failure. Chicago, where violent crime has become a tragic routine. Portland, where law and order were traded in for chaos and graffiti. And then there’s Washington, D.C., where crime is spiraling out of control. When Trump brought in the National Guard, Democrats didn’t praise the effort to restore order; they attacked it. They would rather tolerate crime than admit Trump was right.
Joy can take her little sermon about Trump and pitch it down the same dark hole where her MSNBC career went.
Pick a Platform, Any Platform
Joy Reid didn’t just lose her MSNBC perch, she lost her lane. And ever since, she’s been scrambling to find one to push her hatred, bitterness, and incessant claims of racism.
First, she was at MSNBC until they canned her. Then she turned up on Substack with Joy’s House, selling her rants behind a paywall. She’s on YouTube with The Joy Reid Show, dropping episodes three times a week like she’s reinvented herself as a podcaster.
So which is it? Is she a writer? A YouTuber? A talk-show host in exile? Assuming she even has fans left, they must be confused. The only thing that never changes is her content: Trump, Trump, Trump. No matter what platform she jumps to, he’s the centerpiece.
At the end of the day
Joy Reid isn’t exposing Trump’s sins; she’s exposing her own. Bitterness. Envy. Dishonesty. Pettiness. That’s her legacy. She can hop from MSNBC to Substack to YouTube, but the routine never changes: bash Trump, sneer at his voters, cry racism at every turn, and call it commentary.
And that’s why, no matter how many platforms she clings to, she’ll never sound like a serious voice, only a bitter has-been, desperate for relevance.
