There is a very important reason why God created time and it will greatly help you in your walk once you understand what it is

Time first appears in Genesis chapter 1, and it happens when God divides the light from the darkness, creating Day and Night. There is a reason why God created time, something He personally is outside of. On this Sunday Service, we look at why God created time and how it connects with Jesus Christ. “And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.” Genesis 4:3 (KJB)

“And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.” Deuteronomy 8:2 (KJB)

Everything that happens in this world, happens in the “process of time”. The very first thing that God set up was a separation between light and dark in order to denote the passage of time.

“And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” Genesis 1:4,5 (KJB)

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:” Genesis 1:14 (KJB)

God created a 24-hour day, divided into two 12-hour periods. There are 12 tribes of Israel and 12 apostles of the Lamb.

Everything God makes has 3 parts to it. Time covers 1). yesterday, 2). today and 3). tomorrow. Also known as Past, Present, Future or Beginning, Middle and End. There is no time in Eternity because time has an end and Eternity does not.

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” 1 John 2:18 (KJB)

“And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:” Revelation 10:6 (KJB)

Notice how time connects directly to Jesus Christ:

“Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;” Revelation 1:19 (KJB)

“Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.” Revelation 11:17 (KJB)

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8 (KJB)

The Appointed Time

“If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” Job 14:14 (KJB)

“And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” Daniel 11:35 (KJB)

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:3 (KJB)

“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,” Galatians 4:4 (KJB)

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27 (KJB)
