Grand mother mauled to death by dogs

ATLANTA, GA – Grief envelops a Georgia family following the tragic death of their beloved matriarch, Donna Wen, who was fatally attacked by dogs. The incident has left the Union City community in shock as questions arise about the responsibility and safety measures surrounding the attack.

On August 1, Wen, a 62-year-old grandmother, was walking along Lakeside Drive in Union City, returning from a bank visit when she was viciously attacked by neighborhood dogs. Despite medical efforts, including the amputation of her arms due to severe injuries, Wen succumbed to an infection that reached her brain.

Her son, Charles Ingram, mourns the loss of his mother, remembering her as a warm and loving figure who cherished her walks. “We should not be saying goodbye,” he lamented, emphasizing the unexpected nature of her death.

The owner of the dogs, David Scott Evans, has been cited for dog bites and allowing his dogs to roam unattended. Evans denies his dogs’ involvement, asserting they have never displayed violent behavior. “I know my dogs, and it is not my dogs,” he stated, expressing disbelief at the accusations.

Ingram and his family are demanding accountability, seeking justice for Wen’s death. “My mama deserves justice,” he declared, vowing to pursue the matter to its fullest extent.

The Fulton County Animal Services has taken the dogs into custody, continuing their investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, the family has set up a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses and raise awareness about the dangers of unrestrained dogs.
