German police in the state of Baden-Württemberg are refusing to disclose the nationalities of three men accused of sexually harassing girls as young as 12 at public swimming areas in Stuttgart and Offenburg.
All three incidents took place on Tuesday. As reported by Bild, at the Killesberg outdoor swimming pool in Stuttgart, police say a 28-year-old man approached two 12-year-old girls in the water at around 4:50 p.m. and touched their buttocks.
He was arrested shortly afterwards but released after his personal details were taken.
At the Inselbad Untertürkheim in Stuttgart-Ost earlier that afternoon, a 42-year-old man allegedly indecently touched two 15-year-old girls. Pool attendants detained him until police arrived, but he, too, was released after questioning.
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility of further victims in either case and have urged anyone affected to come forward.
Later that evening at Gifizsee near Offenburg, police arrested a 43-year-old man accused of approaching a group of girls, then entering the water near one girl and a teenager before grabbing their buttocks.
He was detained on the spot but was also later released.
Despite repeated media requests, police have declined to confirm the suspects’ nationalities.
The incidents come after German police launched a Europe-wide manhunt for a 31-year-old Romanian man suspected of sexually abusing a six-year-old girl at a water park in Rust, also in Baden-Württemberg.

That attack occurred on Saturday evening when the girl was lured away from her parents at the swimming complex, led into nearby woodland, and forced to perform sexual acts on the suspect.
She was found an hour later, more than five kilometers away, in the neighboring town of Kappel-Grafenhausen.
Authorities believe the suspect has returned home to Romania.
