The individual who recently threw a Subway sandwich at a law enforcement officer, amid President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime in Washington, D.C., has been arrested.
The Daily Caller reports that United States Attorney Jeanine Pirro of the District of Columbia announced the arrest on Wednesday.
What has caught the attention of many, however, is that the suspect has actually been identified as an employee at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). As we will see, the Trump administration has since fired this individual.

Here’s what happened:
The suspect has been identified as Charles Dunn. He was an international affairs specialist in the DOJ’s Office of International Affairs for the Criminal Division.
According to the Daily Caller, Dunn was “seen in a video posted on X yelling at the law enforcement officer before he threw the sandwich at the officer and took off running.”
This led to a brief chase, which ended in Dunn’s arrest.
Pirro, in a video statement, said:
The president’s message to the criminals was, ‘If you spit, we hit.’ Well, we didn’t quite do that the other night when an individual went up to one of the federal law enforcement officers and started jumping up and down, screaming at him, berating him, yelling at him. And then he took a Subway sandwich … and took it and threw it at the officer. He thought it was funny. Well, he doesn’t think it’s funny today because we charged him with a felony, assault on a police officer.
There’s more…
“Not only is he fired…”
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, on Thursday, announced that she, as head of the DOJ, has decided to fire Dunn.
“If you touch any law enforcement officer, we will come after you,” Bondi said. “I just learned that this defendant worked at the Department of Justice — NO LONGER. Not only is he FIRED, he has been charged with a felony,” she wrote.
Bondi added, “This is an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ. You will NOT work in this administration while disrespecting our government and law enforcement.”
This is all part of the president’s crackdown on crime in D.C.
The effort is being resisted by many on the political left.
