Illinois authorities believe a body discovered on Thursday is a woman who went missing late last month.
Naperville police were called to the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve and located the body after walking through an area of dense, tall grass. The Daily Herald reported clothing on the decedent matched what Olasinmibo Abosede, 46, was wearing when she disappeared from her Naperville home on July 30.
Abosede is believed to have taken a short walk when she disappeared without any personal items aside from a water bottle. Surveillance footage apparently shows her leaving home on the day in question.
Despite police’s announcement, the DuPage County Coroner’s Office will confirm whether the body is Abosede.
Even after Thursday’s discovery, police maintained that foul play is not suspected in this case.
