Donald Trump is the rake, and Democrats are Sideshow Bob.
If Donald Trump says X, Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) HAVE to say Y and claims that X is racist sexist homophobia. Trump says that Washington DC is a crime-ridden cesspool, so Democrats have to say, “Nuh-uh.” When that doesn’t work, then the whataboutism comes in. “What about January 6th?” “What about Trump being found guilty of 34 bookkeeping errors?” “Whaat about derpity derpy derp?”
Former Obama official David Axelrod thought he had an ironclad gotcha for Scott Jennings, the sole voice of reason on CNN. We “need” to do something about violence in Washington, DC, but what about the violence in Jennings’s hometown of Louisville? You know, in the RED state of Kentucky.
Jennings admitted that Louisville is violent and that, unlike Washington DC, the President doesn’t have the power invested in him to take the same action. Scottso then hit Axelrod with facts, and you know how much they hate it when you do that.
We have an epidemic of violence in Louisville, and it has been under Democratic control for decades, and my state’s been under Democratic governor for the last two terms. Because we have soft-on-crime policies…
That’s the Democrat dodge. “What about the violence in red states?” It’s all in cities that have been run (into the ground) by Democrats, who don’t appear to grasp Jennings’ other point.
It’s good politics to reduce crime. That’s why Trump is reducing crime. And I don’t understand why Democrats want to keep it the same.
I wish I loved anything as much as Democrats love getting owned by reality.
Now it’s a question of when they recognize they’re losing and attempt to jump to the next thing. Egg prices are down. Deportations are popular. Citizens are happy someone is finally doing something about the violent streets of DC. Democrats won’t be able to impeach Trump again until 2027 at the earliest. However will they fill the time?
