They said they didn’t receive permission from Hamas…..
Canada continues to disgrace itself to appease it’s pro-Hamas citizens. This once great nation has become a socialist and anti-Semitic hellhole. Unrecognizable just a decade after the Left tragically took power.
The documentary is “The Road Between Us,” telling the story of retired IDF General and his heroic efforts to save his family. The reason they declined to show the film? Times of Israel explains: Sources close to the film’s production said the festival’s claimed reason for the cancellation was that the filmmakers had not received explicit permission to use videos of the Hamas operatives during the attack, with the festival fearing a potential lawsuit (Times of Israel).
Deadline reports: The filmmaking team behind The Road Between Us tells Deadline: “We are shocked and saddened that a venerable film festival has defied its mission and censored its own programming by refusing this film. Ultimately, film is an art form that stimulates debate from every perspective that can both entertain us and make us uncomfortable. A film festival lays out the feast and the audience decides what they will or won’t see. We are not political filmmakers, nor are we activists; we are storytellers. We remain defiant, we will release the film, and we invite audiences, broadcasters, and streamers to make up their own mind, once they have seen it” (Deadline).
More from Times of Israel: Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar slammed the decision, expressing shock that the screening was called off “because there was no ‘legal clearance’ from Hamas for their GoPro massacre videos. He added: “This festival would have asked Hitler or Goebbels for copyright on Auschwitz footage… This vicious and sickening decision must be cancelled immediately!” (Times of Israel).

Hiding behind “screening requirements” and your “legal team” is just a polished way of saying, “We’re waiting for copyright permission from the Hamas PR department, hang tight until maybe this goes away.”
It’s absurd, and it’s not true.
