Males who ‘identify’ as females participating in girls’ and women’s sports is a nothingburger, a completely negligible occurrence, something that virtually never happens, we were told, and you are an evil reich-wing bigot and transphobe if you even think anything different.
Yet, oddly enough, that thing which virtually never happens is happening again.
Trans athlete sues college, league and national association over her revoked scholarship
Emma Morchequo is suing Westcliff University, the NAIA and others claiming her civil rights were violated by a removal of scholarship.

Trans athlete Emma Morquecho is suing Westcliff University in federal court, claiming her civil rights were violated when the latter rescinded an offer for an athletic scholarship following some school and league officials discovering she’s a trans woman.
That makes it sound as though Mr Morquecho kept his status as a biological male secret, though, further down, the article claims:
The suit alleges that the coaching staff of the women’s volleyball team at Westcliff University knew Marquecho was transgender — a fact that she claims she disclosed to them — well before their scholarship offer. She also claims that the coaches actively recruited her with this knowledge, ultimately offering her said scholarship.
Think about that. After the problems over Brayden Fleming, the male volleyball player who pretended he was a woman named “Blaire” and joined the San José State University women’s volleyball team, is it reasonable to believe that any college’s athletic department would knowingly recruit a biological male to play on a women’s team without everyone, and I mean everyone who might be even tangentially involved being informed of this?
Mr Flaming’s presence on the SJSU women’s volleyball team led to several schools forfeiting games rather than play against him, and half of the players with remaining eligibility decided to enter the transfer portal rather than staying with SJSU, even though Mr Fleming had exhausted his eligibility and couldn’t return.
On behalf of Morquecho, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund filed a federal lawsuit with the United States District Court in California on August 8. The filed case claims violations of Title IX, the Unruh Civil Rights Act in California and other California law.
Emma Morquecho and her MALDEF attorneys seek compensatory and punitive damages.
“By taking a stand, I’m not just fighting for myself. I’m speaking for every trans person who has been silenced, and I hope my voice empowers others in our community to know their stories and their rights matter,” Morquecho said via statement from MALDEF. “Together, we can create a future where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.”
Our published Stylebook states that The First Street Journal will always refer to the ‘transgendered’ by their real names, the names consistent with their biological sex, but we have been unable to find Mr Morquecho’s real name online. We do not, of course, change the direct quotations of others.
There has been relatively little on males playing women’s sports during the summer break from high school and college athletics, and we had hoped that President Trump’s executive orders concerning men males playing women’s sports, as well as the backlash against Mr Fleming and Will Thomas would have pushed such things into oblivion for the coming three years, but schools are getting ready to start again, and that thing which never happens is trying to happen again.
