You probably all know the classic Washington Irving story: Rip Van Winkle falls asleep after imbibing some—shall we say—powerful spirits, and wakes up 20 years after the American Revolution, witnessing radical change in his newly awakened state. He thinks he’s been asleep for a single night, only to learn it has been decades. Those are the CliffNotes. While the story has much more nuance, for this illustration, the decades-long slumber in America is all that matters.
Van Winkle, just like “Van America,” was happy-go-lucky—often irresponsible in the conduct of his personal and family affairs—and was easily susceptible to intoxication when offered a free drink.
America, while still functioning as a “superpower,” has failed to keep her eye on the ball. We’ve lost our way because we, too, have been intoxicated into a state of sleepiness regarding the importance of the very core that created American exceptionalism—namely, our Constitutional Republic, the envy of the world without historical precedent.
That said, there is one plague that has hit America that threatens her transformation like no other: the strategic invasion of America by Radical Islamic Terrorism. In what seems like the blink of an eye, virtually every part of America’s institutional, governmental, and cultural infrastructure has been infiltrated by this pernicious influence—so profound that it has warped the American mind into creating acceptance and a forced tolerance toward a religious philosophy and movement that hates our country and now has ubiquitous influence throughout it.
If we were to “carbon date” the inception of this insanity—though imprecise to be sure—the date of origin would likely be when the “Blind Sheikh” tried to blow up the World Trade Center in 1993. At that time, the Islamic terror networks were already alive, well, and at work in America, but that was just the beginning. The “Blind Sheikh” was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney and sent to jail as if he were an income tax evader or an ordinary criminal. The next moves by the Islamo-Nazis against U.S. interests were the bombing of the U.S. embassies in Africa, the bombing of the USS Cole, and, of course, finishing the job with the destruction of the World Trade Center and the murder of thousands of Americans.
In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, the term “Islamophobia” seemed to become ubiquitous, along with the forced imposition of the idea that Muslims were the victims of irrational hate and xenophobia. That was a false construct. While Muslims have occasionally been victims of prejudice in America, after 9/11, they were far more likely to receive preferences and undue sympathy as a community rather than discrimination. Muslims in America—with rare exceptions—have collectively voiced, through their public and private preachings, criminal organizations like CAIR, the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood, and their general religious philosophy, that America—despite having given them refuge and opportunity from the fascistic theocracies they originally came from—is a nation without the possibility of redemption. Naturally, there are exceptions, but they are a microscopic few.
America, in her slumber, has now awakened to a nation infiltrated with a murderous “Free Palestine” movement that has wreaked havoc in the streets of major American cities, preached hatred of Americans and Jews, and given rise to murder, deprivation of Jewish civil rights on college campuses, and the indoctrination of millions of young Americans—not only to hate their country, but to hate it in a way that gives aid, comfort, and sympathy to this movement. Without much digging, it is clear that this “Free Palestine” movement is part of the “Destroy Western Civilization” coalition—an unholy alliance between Islamo-Nazis, Communists, and others who have banded together to destroy America and civilization as we know it.
Hopefully, “Rip Van America,” asleep for so many decades, is finally waking up to the Islamo-Nazi threat—and will do her best to rid our country of this vicious, existential danger.
