Take some friendly advice from your Uncle Brodigan. It’s 2025. You can’t get away with sandwiching a cop in public anymore. Between 2020-2024, then yeah, maybe. But as one schmucklehead in Washington DC learned, it’s Donald Trump’s America and you FO faster than you FA.
Here’s my favorite part of this story. You read that headline and no doubt, much like I did, assumed this happened this week as a result of Trump declaring Washington DC under his command. Not everyone in DC is happy with Trump doing something about the rampant crime and violence. At least on the record. Off the record, where no one can hear them praising Trump, they like the idea of not getting mugged while walking to their car that had its tires stolen.
The man throwing a sandwich at a cop was expressing his dissent toward the additional police presence. NOPE! This incident took place on Sunday. Our dude saw two border patrol officers taking a break from carrying out Trump’s common sense illegal immigration reform and called them fascists.
Then came the assault, or the “f*ck around.”
A man who used a Subway sandwich to attack a federal agent on the streets of DC earlier this week has been charged with felony assault.
The criminal case against Sean Charles Dunn, 37, was announced Wednesday by DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who said in a statement that “the police are not out there to get pushed around or beat up.”
The other favorite part of the story is that the two border patrol agents were just standing there. Not that there is ever an excuse to sandwich a law enforcement officer. But, had they been in the process of enforcing Trump’s common sense illegal immigration reform via a raid or an arrest, I could understand, in that heightened circumstance, a white liberal dude getting emotional and throwing his lunch.
These officers were standing in front of a building, minding their own business. That was all it took for our man to have a hissy fit and throw his footlong at them.
It sounds like he’ll have plenty of time to reflect on his actions and where they went wrong.
