A leftist lunatic long known for her radical takes is back with a puff piece about New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Published in The Nation, a veritable communist rag, the puff piece by leftist Joan Walsh begins with a cartoon drawing of James that some critics mistook as a funny parody designed to make fun of her.

This cartoon says a lot of things but “badass” isn’t one of them

Titled “Letitia James, New York’s Badass AG,” the puff piece argues that James “has emerged as a North Star in the chaos of the second Trump administration.”
What supposed chaos? Who knows.
“Since Trump’s reelection, James has emerged as a North Star in the chaos, inspiring progressives in New York and nationally,” the delusional puff piece reads.
It then quotes from Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin.
“Tish James and the other state AGs on the front lines of this fight are not only defending a Constitution and federal laws against a Supreme Leader and lawless autocrats,” the quote reads.
“They are also showing the country what real attorneys general do by acting for the people and the rule of law instead of a right-wing political putsch,” the quote continues.
Recall that James is the same stunningly corrupt attorney general who pursued trumped-up charges against current President Donald Trump after literally campaigning on going after him:
New York Attorney General Letitia James unethically campaigned on going after President Trump.
She brought bogus fraud charges for the non-crime of paying back sophisticated Wall Street banks, in full, on time, and with interest.

“[Her] ability to break through the noise has earned James praise—and a hefty boost—among much of her state’s otherwise disgruntled Democratic base,” the piece continues. “‘It’s my great pleasure to introduce… our badass attorney general, Tish James!’ Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said [an] excited town hall crowd.”
“The evening was billed as a ‘hearing’ to gather information on Trump’s assault on the entire public sector, but James likened it to a ‘road show’ that she and her AG colleagues were taking around the country. They’re not just gathering evidence; they’re also trying to buoy the resistance to the second coming of Trump,” the piece adds.
What neither James nor her sycophants like Joan seems to understand is that it’s not her job to fight the president of the United States of America.
Glad to see that New York is so safe that the AG can focus on her pet project of “resisting” the POTUS.

Yet the piece from Walsh manages to get even worse. Later in it, she includes a ridiculously corrupt quote from the AG.
“[Democrats] need[] to bring in more young people,” the quote reads. “They need to take their cues from AOC and from Jasmine Crockett and Maxwell Frost and Greg Cesar. They need to be on the ground.”
“They need to do things that are different. Republicans are just outperforming us each and every time. We have to stop believing or following the rules. Break the rules. Stop coloring inside the lines,” it continues.
Just amazing …
@joanwalsh writes of James — “real attorneys general do by acting for the people and the rule of law.”@TishJames states “we have to stop believing or following the rules. Break the rules. Stop coloring inside the lines.”
Those are not compatible — they are contradictory.

Walsh also at one point accuses President Trump of engaging in “abuses of power” that “have only escalated.” As an example, she cites Trump securing congressional support “along strict party lines” for the “One Big, Beautiful Bill.”
Apparently, working with Congress to pass a partisan bill is an “abuse of power.” Someone should have told that to former Presidents Barack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden.
The puff piece concludes with Walsh fantasizing about James’ future as “a 2028 U.S. Senate prospect or a 2023 gubernatorial contender.”
Nowhere does Walsh mention that James is now under investigation for the very crime she falsely accused Trump of committing.
