In response to President Donald Trump taking over D.C. to rein in the city’s massive crime epidemic, leftists continue to act as stupid and obtuse as humanely possible.
For example, a local group that calls itself the Free DC Project has called on city residents to protest Trump’s crime crackdown by banging “pots and pans” outside every night at 8:00 pm:

The group genuinely seems to think disturbing the sleeping schedules of school-aged children and working adults will give their movement legitimacy. Good luck with that.
And then there’s the stupidity of Illinois Rep. Sean Casten, who’s convinced that D.C. has never been unsafe except for the one-day Jan. 6 riot that occurred four years ago.
“I walk home every night after votes,” the Democrat stooge tweeted Tuesday. “Other than Jan 6, I’ve never felt unsafe in DC.”
“Then again, I don’t hang out with Gaetz, Jordan, nor the convicted felon at 1600 Pennsylvania. But if that’s your statistical sample I can see how you might erroneously extrapolate this way,” he added.

Critics excoriated Casten over his stupidity.
“Do you walk because your Kia was jacked?” one critic cleverly asked, referencing D.C.’s notorious car thefts.
“‘It didn’t happen to me, a government elite’ is the dumbest argument you could possibly make,” another critic wrote, referencing Casten’s status as a wealthy member of Congress. “Just absolutely embarrassing.”
A third critic pulled up an old tweet Casten posted in 2023 in which he complained about left-wing extremist protesters surrounding the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s office.

There’s also the stupidity of New York Rep. Dan Goldman, who decided to use Casten’s silly playbook.
After a leftist journo claimed that D.C. would be safer if the Trump administration hadn’t cut the city’s budget, Goldman replied that it’d be even safer had the Jan. 6 rioters not been pardoned.
“Another way to make DC safer would have been not to pardon 1,500 J6 criminals who invaded the Capitol and assaulted and injured more than 140 police officers,” he tweeted.

Like Caten, Goldman was also excoriated by critics.
“Have any of those people committed crimes in DC since the Jan 6 protests?” one critic asked.
“You mean those people who were escorted in and then stayed within the velvet ropes?” another critic wrote, referencing the good behavior of some of the Jan. 6 rioters. “I’m sure DC will be safe with them on the loose.”
“There are roughly 60 assaults every day in D.C., but let’s talk about J6,” a third critic wrote, mocking the left’s stupid logic.
Amid all this stupidity, there was one spark of intelligence, and it came from the most surprising of places: CNN.
Over on the left-wing network, lone conservative commentator Scott Jennings explained how the Democrat Party is, by protesting Trump’s crackdown on crime, taking the wrong side of a 91/9 issue.
As evidence, he cited a poll showing that 91 percent of D.C. residents believe crime is an extreme problem:

Jennings just dropped another truth bomb, SHATTERING the Democrat narrative that crime in D.C. is a “non-issue.”

“So 91 percent of people who live in a jurisdiction think it’s a moderate or an extreme problem,” he said. “This is not a figment of anyone’s imagination. This is not mass hysteria. This isn’t, you know, some, you know, collective hallucination. It’s real.”
“People who live there know they aren’t safe,” he added.
Yep, but as usual, Democrats are too stupid to realize it.
