There was much heated debate over the newly announced $20 annual paddleboard fee/canoe fee/kayak permit fee. This fee was one of the only such fees in America for smaller under 10-feet floating vessels. As a result, the Let Us Paddle PAC staged a floating protest in opposition.
Now paddleboarders will be charged another brand new $10 parking fee to use their $20 paddle board permit.
• Starting October 1st, 21 state parks will begin charging for parking where it was previously free. The cost will be $10 for Oregon residents and $12 for out-of-state visitors.
• Overnight camping rates will increase at 29 of the busiest parks, starting next summer. Tent sites will increase to $29, and full-hookup RV sites will increase to $52 on peak days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Note: Small boat fees are less for one day or one week only options.
