California News:
FBI Director Kash Patel dropped a bombshell yesterday with allegations that California Democratic Senator Adam Schiff, in 2017, approved the leaking of classified information to indict President Donald Trump. The allegations were supported through Patel’s discovery and declassification of related FBI memos from 2019.
“We found it. We declassified it. Now Congress can see how classified info was leaked to shape political narratives – and decide if our institutions were weaponized against the American people,” Patel announced on X (formerly Twitter).
A Democrat Career Intelligence Officer, now whistleblower, witnessed Schiff’s approval at an intelligence meeting. The officer considered Schiff’s actions to be “unethical, illegal, and treasonous.” During the meeting, the officer was assured by unnamed members that “they would not be caught.”
In a Just the News exclusive, John Solomon and Jerry Dunleavy report:
The FBI 302 interview reports obtained by Just the News state the intelligence staffer — a Democrat by party affiliation who described himself as a friend to both Schiff, now a California senator, and former Republican House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes — considered the classified leaking to be “unethical,” “illegal,” and “treasonous,” but was told not to worry about it because Schiff believed he would be spared prosecution under the Constitution’s speech and debate clause.
“When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer’s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF,” the interview report said. “In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.”
The whistleblower told investigators that he “stated this would be illegal and, upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured that they would not be caught leaking classified information,” the 2023 interview report stated.
The unclassified memos can be found here.
Schiff has yet to comment on his latest scandal while he is hosting the Lake Tahoe Summit with Nevada Democratic Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jackie Rosen.
Schiff is currently under investigation by the DOJ for mortgage fraud. In May, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi responded by appointing Ed Martin as a “special attorney” to probe the allegations, and a grand jury in Maryland will convene to investigate the allegations.
Schiff has denied any wrong doing, accusing Trump of being a “tinpot dictator” who designs allegations to intimidate and silence his political opponents.
Schiff’s counsel, Preet Bharara said in a statement last week that the mortgage fraud allegations against his client “are transparently false, stale and long debunked,” adding that Ed Martin is “the most brazenly partisan and politically compromised person possible for the task. Any supposed investigation led by him would be the very definition of weaponization of the justice process.”
