Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.
Happy Sunday, dear friends! Please take a seat and let me pass you a chilled flute of bubbly. What a week! From watching honest-to-God Marxists get the upper hand in New York City to the Left’s weeks long meltdown over Sidney Sweeney devolving into the absurdity of calling her dog (DOG!) a “Nazi”. You know, keeping day drinking to just Sunday brunch gets harder every week. Heh. So pass the plates and let’s get to it. L’Chaim!

I’m sorry, but the movie “Coma” is not a “how-to” manual
When I got my first driver’s license, a friend warned me not to elect to be an organ donor. “Dude, they’re going to try to declare you dead before you are to harvest your organs.” I thought that was the stupidest, most paranoid conspiracy theory I’d ever heard.
Now this. pic.twitter.com/67c5n7YZDK

You know what? Lima beans are fascist
Because everything you don’t like (and I hate lima beans!) is, most definitely, fascism!
The University of Pennsylvania student paper is very upset the school agreed to Trump administration demands regarding men’s participation in women’s sports — so much so it says UPenn is “descending into fascism” (its headline). (snip)
“In allowing the federal government to make a decision that belongs to our community, Penn has violated our trust in a way that may be impossible to restore,” the editors write. “Our administration could have said no, fighting in court to keep the government out of our athletic policies.” (snip)
“Throughout history, authoritarian regimes have begun their crackdowns with an attack on universities — beacons of dissent and social progress,” the editors continue. “We can’t ignore the warning signs. Penn’s actions are exactly what it looks like to give in to extortion disguised as governance.”
Erasing women and girls from their own sports is “social progress”? :::snort::: That student ‘news’paper is going to give The Bee a run for its money.

Funny, just who is being cruel to whom here?
Cruelty is the point. Donald Trump *chose* to restart interest on millions of borrowers’ federal student loans. This doesn’t help our economy; instead, it saddles millions with the burden of paying off interest – which is far greater than the original loan amount. https://t.co/Ctz90dVqYO

Missy Jacobs, like all Leftists, wants to divorce “property” from “ownership”. The idea of whether or not students were foolish to take on loans they never could repay doesn’t cross Sara’s alleged mind. She takes the position that the taxpayers — whose own earnings went towards those loans — are to be ignored. Indeed, they don’t count at all. And hold universities liable for their part in, not just pushing those loans, but in raising tuitions because it was all going to be free money? Five years of gravy train time is over. About time.

Helping victims of natural disasters is secondary to Get Out The Vote (for Democrats)
FEMA under Creepy Joe was worse than you ever thought …
The Biden administration abused its power by turning the entire mechanism of the federal government into a Democratic voter mobilization campaign, according to newly unearthed White House documents viewed exclusively by The Post.
The worst offender was FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, under the Department of Homeland Security, which was controlled for four years by Biden’s Machiavellian border buster Alejandro Mayorkas.
When responding to an emergency or a natural disaster, FEMA employees were directed to make voter registration a “key priority.” (snip)
FEMA employees were so fixated on voter outreach that, when they visited hurricane-ravaged Florida last October, they didn’t even bother knocking on the doors of houses that had Trump signs in the yard.

Homeschool your children
Teacher says the child sacrifices of the Incan Empire were “voluntary” and “kind,” and claims that viewing them as evil means you had a “White education.”

Now, while there is something to be said for not holding the past hostage to modern sensibilities, the balance is being able to rationally evaluate practices, their place among contemporaries at the time, and not glorify or sentimentalize them. As Sir Charles James Napier said upon being told about the practice of suttee in India — “Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive, we hang them and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs.”

… if you so accept.
A osprey dropped a fish, which hit power lines, sparking a 100-acre brush fire in British Columbia. The question is, how can we blame this on global warming? https://t.co/yBUvZZ2Keo
