President Trump has called on the CEO of Intel, Lip-Bu Tan, to resign over a conflict of interest.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, “The CEO of INTEL is highly CONFLICTED and must resign, immediately. There is no other solution to this problem. Thank you for your attention to this problem!”
The conflict of interest may arise over Lip-Bu Tan’s investment in hundreds of Chinese companies — some with military ties.
Complicating matters is the fact that Intel is one of the biggest recipients of Biden’s CHIPS acts where the federal government has planned to award $280 billion to tech companies.
This comes as Intel has plans to cut 20,000 workers (2,400 in Oregon).
