You can’t make this up.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen took the stage in Finland to lecture the crowd about how lucky they are to live in a “free country.” She claimed people in Russia would be jailed for interrupting a politician.
Her exact words?
“If they would be in Moscow, they would be in jail in two minutes.”
And right on cue—a protester in the crowd was arrested.
Seriously. As she was virtue-signaling about free speech and mocking Russia, Finnish police were busy dragging away a man for protesting her speech. You couldn’t script a better example of elite hypocrisy if you tried.
But it gets even worse.
This wasn’t just some random heckler. The man being arrested is reportedly a candidate running for European Parliament—opposing the EU establishment von der Leyen represents. And his “crime”? A peaceful protest. For that, he’s now facing court on Monday in Helsinki.
All while the so-called “free press” remains dead silent.
Watch the jaw-dropping moment here:
So to recap: von der Leyen brags that in Russia, dissenters are jailed—as her security has one jailed right then and there. You really can’t make this stuff up.
Europe’s globalist elite aren’t just out of touch—they’re becoming parodies of themselves.
