Americans are becoming more aware of the dangers of coerced medicine and captured regulation, according to a new KFF (formerly known as the Kaiser Family Foundation) poll. The majority of Americans do not intend to receive the COVID-19 vaccine this fall, and less than half trust the CDC or FDA to ensure vaccine safety. Those who have long advocated for accountability, transparency, and the restoration of informed consent in American medicine applaud the widespread erosion of trust in federal health authorities and their pharmaceutical alliances.

A new JAMA Health Forum research admits that the shots “saved far fewer lives than first thought,” particularly among younger people.
According to a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services-commissioned analysis by Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, COVID shots have been associated to 38,709 fatalities, 221,030 hospitalizations, and a total of 1,665,264 injuries—though these figures represent fewer than 1% of true adverse events.
These startling proportions may help to explain why the vast majority of Americans are now refusing the shot.
Confidence in CDC and FDA continues to decline.
Only 49% of U.S. adults believe federal health organizations such as the CDC and FDA can ensure the safety and effectiveness of vaccinations approved for use in the United States.
Only 42% believe these agencies base their choices on science rather than the personal opinions of agency leaders.
Only 37% believe the CDC and FDA function independently, without influence from other sources.
These figures reflect the continued consequences from the COVID-19 response, which congressional investigators recently revealed featured the CDC and White House employing “deeply flawed” messaging and “overpromising” vaccination safety “without evidence.”
According to a two-year investigation by the Congressional Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, this decline in public trust is unsurprising given the government’s admitted reliance on arbitrary “6-feet” distancing rules, unproven mask mandates, and harmful lockdowns—none of which were based on transparent science, but all of which inflicted long-term damage on public health, the economy, and institutional credibility.
Confusion over Federal Policy Changes
Despite multiple headlines since HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s appointment, public awareness of recent changes to U.S. vaccine policy remains low, most likely due to a mainstream media blackout, institutional resistance, and a legacy press unwilling to cover reforms that threaten the pharmaceutical establishment.

13% believe the reforms will make no difference.
The response is primarily partisan:
62% of Democrats believe RFK Jr.’s changes make them less safe.
41% of Republicans believe the improvements will make them safer.
This split occurs despite Kennedy’s sweeping reforms, which include withdrawing the CDC’s COVID shot recommendation for children and pregnant women, banning mercury in flu vaccines, blocking the WHO’s pandemic treaty, defunding Gates-linked GAVI, ending coercive hospital vaccine incentives, and firing all 17 members of the CDC’s vaccine advisory panel.
However, health realists are still waiting for Kennedy to withdraw the lethal COVID vaccines from the market.
Trust of Public Health Officials vs. Personal Providers
Personal healthcare providers continue to be the most trusted source of vaccine information.
Eighty-three percent of Americans say they trust their doctor “a great deal” or “a fair amount.”
Trust in government entities is significantly lower.
CDC: 57%
Local public health departments: 62 percent
State government officials: 43%.
HHS Secretary RFK Jr.: 37%.
However, RFK Jr. has considerable support among Republicans:
70% of Republicans rely on RFK Jr. for vaccine information.
77% of MAGA-aligned Republicans agree with this.
In comparison, only 11% of Democrats say they trust RFK Jr.
Vaccine Access Is Not a Major Concern.
Adults who intend to receive the COVID-19 vaccine this fall are more likely to be concerned about access.
But for the overall population:
Only 33% are concerned that the vaccine may not be available.
Only 34% of insured individuals are afraid that their insurance may not cover it.
Concerns concerning access are minor among individuals unlikely to receive the shot.
Just 11% are concerned about vaccination availability.
Only 14% are concerned with insurance coverage.
Broader Context: Regulatory Trust Eroding
This poll comes as the FDA extends its fast-track drug clearance pipeline, which can clear pharmaceuticals for usage in as little as 30 days.
The EPA has also confirmed plans to sidestep conventional clinical trial procedures for a new bird flu vaccine, following the same Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) pathway that it did for COVID doses.
In this regulatory climate, the KFF data confirms what many have long predicted: Americans reject medical coercion, distrust agency integrity, and want informed consent.
The American people have sent a clear message: we are tired of being lied to, experimented on, and trusting captured agencies to protect us—this is the start of a long-overdue public health reckoning.
