Actor and filmmaker Dean Cain, best known for his role in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, announced this week that he has officially joined U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is encouraging others to consider doing the same.
In a video posted to X (formerly Twitter), Cain shared that he is already a sworn law enforcement officer and decided that working with ICE was a meaningful way to continue serving the country.
“JOIN ICE! We need your help to protect [America],” Cain said, noting that he wanted to do more than just talk about public safety. “I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans.”
Cain also highlighted some of the benefits available to new ICE recruits, including a $50,000 signing bonus recently announced by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. He emphasized that the agency is actively recruiting and noted that a college degree is not required to join.
The actor praised ICE’s efforts under former President Donald Trump, stating that the agency has arrested hundreds of thousands of dangerous individuals, including terrorists, gang members, and violent criminals.
“ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America’s streets. I like that. I voted for that,” Cain said. “They need your help. We need your help.”
During an appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, Cain spoke about his new role and expressed a willingness to serve in whatever capacity was needed.
“I will do whatever Director [Todd] Lyons wants me to do,” Cain said, when asked if he expected to be part of field operations. “If that’s what it takes, absolutely. I somehow doubt I’ll be in that position, but I would be there in a heartbeat.”
Cain closed by emphasizing the importance of supporting law enforcement and first responders.
“These brave men and women need someone to stand up for them,” he said. “So rarely these days are we seeing that.”
