Arizona State Senator Analise Ortiz is proudly doxxing ICE Agents and obstructing their work, claiming it is her First Amendment right to do so. First, our revered First Amendment Rights are not a get out of jail free card. Second, the State Senator’s arrogance and entitlement is over the top. A native Arizonan, she is a former journalist and calls herself a Latina civil rights activist. For your situational awareness, Miss Ortiz is also the first pansexual member of the Arizona Legislature.
Analise Ortiz is a United States citizen who has no respect or understanding of our Constitution. Yet, she rolls on wrecking everything in her way. From the Daily Express:
A Democrat senator has been slammed over her social media posts about sightings of Immigration and Customs Enforcement squads.
Arizona State Senator Analise Ortiz is also facing demands for her removal from the Legislature, claims she is receiving death threats and even may face legal action.
Her actions caught the attention of influential right-wing influencer account Libs of TikTok, who claimed that Ortiz was “actively impeding and doxxing ICE by posting their live locations,” reports the Mirror.
Following the viral post, Senate President Warren Petersen announced he had requested the U.S. attorney for Arizona to initiate an investigation into potential violations of federal law.
In response to Ortiz, Petersen retorted: “Public servants have a duty to uphold the law and respect those who enforce it, not undermine them.”
State Senator Jake Hoffman demanded X’s removal from the Arizona Senate and announced his intention to file an ethics complaint.
“She’s doxxing ICE agents and openly putting the lives of American law enforcement at risk,” he posted on Twitter.

Tagging Tom Homan made this post perfect. As The Federalist reported, Ortiz is defiant:
Ortiz defiantly responded, “Yep. When ICE is around, I will alert my community to stay out of the area, and I’m not f***king scared of you nor Trump’s masked goons,” the lawmaker wrote.
Masked goons? What a dolt? The ICE agents work for us to keep us safe. They do not work for Trump, and they wouldn’t have to wear masks if this chick’s cerebrum weren’t short-staffed. The Arizona State Senate Republicans have referred this matter to the state’s Attorney General. OY! They’ll all investigate and do nothing.
Arizona Republican Warren Petersen looks as if he is running for any post Gavin Newsom might give up. Senator Analise Ortiz is just trying to protect the innocent children being hunted by ICE aka Trump’s Thugs. Warning them is her First Amendment right, doncha know?
“All of us are at risk”? She was born in Arizona and there is plenty of proof, just as I was born on the Ohio River. We are not as risk. Illegal aliens are criminals and as the video reiterated:
“It appears she may be in violation of federal law,” Petersen said in a statement issued by his office. “Public servants have a duty to uphold the law and respect those who enforce it, not undermine them.”
She’s not undermining them. She has her First Amendment rights to say anything she wants. Again, from The Federalist:
Ortiz did not return a Federalist email seeking comment. Her office assistant said she was at a conference. An automatic response from Ortiz’s legislative email address noted the senator would be “out of the office on business until Monday, May 19, 2025, without access to legislative email.” Obviously the message had not been updated in some time. Another legislative aide did not return a request for comment. She told CBS 5 that her actions were protected under the First Amendment.
In an Instagram tirade, Ortiz proclaimed that the “fascists and white supremacists in power in Arizona” are targeting her because she “shared information about ICE lurking outside an elementary school so our community could avoid the area and stay safe.”
“ICE is lurking outside schools in our community, disappearing people of all statuses, and causing unwarranted fear. Every individual has the right to know when and where law enforcement activity of any kind is taking place in an effort to protect themselves, in the same way people use popular apps to alert each other about speed traps”, the Leftist wrote.
Pull up there, Chica. I am sure that she took several oaths over the years to uphold the Constitution. Probably even promised not to commit crime herself. Obstructing justice and calling ICE agents Trump’s Thugs? The First Amendment is not an all access pass. There are limits. She says that she can say anything she wants, but that when Petersen reminds her of her duties, He is trying to intimidate her and that she will not be intimidated.
Warren Petersen is using his position as Sen. President to threaten and intimidate Sen. Analise Ortiz for exercising her 1st Amendment rights. That’s not leadership—it’s bullying. I know he’s only been a lawyer for a year and a half but he needs a CLE on the Bill of Rights.

As I said, the First Amendment is not an all-access pass. Analise Ortiz has free speech, but she is still responsible for accountability for her actions. This is not a free speech for me but not for thee issue. If she can say things, so can Petersen and others, but none are free of accountability.
