Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is being dragged online after posting another ridiculous photo of herself.
“Nancy Mace for Governor has great jeans,” the congresswoman posted as a nod to the explosive yet somehow controversial Sydney Sweeney American Eagle ad that took the internet by storm last week through today.
Conservatives were quick to blast Mace for the bizarre social media stunt.
Said Ex-Daily Wire star Brett Cooper, “I’d love to never see this butt ever again.”
Another user wrote, “[Mace] is literally the stereotype of pick me girls who will do anything for outside validation but be taken seriously as a member of The United States Congress.”
A third posted, “Every time I see this gilfslut faketit girlboss influencer retard on my timeline my yearning for repealing the 19th amendment increases. Total clown show.”
Others ripped the congresswoman for missing the Sweeny trend by a week.
Mace officially entered the 2026 gubernatorial race Monday, positioning herself as an outsider candidate ready to shake up the state’s political establishment.
The third-term congresswoman delivered her campaign launch speech with sharp criticism of career politicians.
Mace declared that South Carolina “is tired of politicians who smile for the cameras, lie to your face, and then vanish when it’s time to lead.”
“I’m not one of them,” she stated during her announcement.
“I’m running for governor because South Carolina doesn’t need another empty suit. It needs a governor who will fight for you and your values.”
Mace unveiled an aggressive fiscal platform centered on dramatic government spending reductions.
Her proposal includes freezing the state’s general fund spending at approximately $11.6 billion, according to CNN reporting.
The plan requires every state agency to implement annual budget cuts ranging from 3 percent to 4 percent.
This mandate would affect all departments across state government operations.
Her platform extends beyond spending cuts to include educational reform initiatives.
Mace promised to expand access to vocational and trade schools throughout South Carolina.
The candidate also pledged to defund “any office, agency or department who refuses to follow state and federal law.” This enforcement mechanism targets non-compliant government entities.
Mace’s campaign video prominently featured her alliance with President Donald Trump.
The promotional material included footage of Trump calling Mace a “fighter.”
The 47-year-old representative has undergone a significant political transformation regarding Trump.
She previously served as a vocal critic of the president but has since become a strong supporter.
Her biographical background includes a historic achievement at The Citadel.
Mace became the first female cadet to graduate from South Carolina’s military college in 1999.
Mace first entered elected office in 2018 as a South Carolina House Representative.
She subsequently won her congressional seat in 2020 by flipping a previously Democratic district.
Her early congressional tenure included opposition to Trump on election-related matters.
CNN reported that in 2021, Mace joined six other House Republicans in signing a letter stating Congress lacked authority to overturn the 2020 election results.
During that same period, she criticized Trump’s involvement in the January 6 Capitol incident.
“I want to be a new voice for the Republican Party, and that’s one of the reasons I’ve spoken out so strongly against the president, against these QAnon conspiracy theorists that led us in a constitutional crisis,” Mace said in 2021.
“It’s just wrong and we’ve got to put a stop to it.”
Despite her criticism, Mace voted against Trump’s impeachment, calling the process flawed and rushed.
Trump subsequently endorsed a primary challenger against her 2022 congressional campaign, which she ultimately won.
